PC Map Request for 06 FLHT
I'm looking for a PC map for:
'06 FLHT
Rinehart Slip-ons
Ness high flow filter
(everything else stock)
I have a Power Commander 3 USB #807-511.
Currently running m807-218, pipes are turning red after 3-5 min of idle time.
Thanks for any help.

Your only issue is that the pipes are glowing at idle? Other than that the bike runs well?

I just installed the pipes, filter and PC. I noticed the pipes glowing and was concerned. I haven't take the bike for a ride yet, didn't want to create any problems (not being familar with the EFI). Recommendations?

Are you just talking about the first couple of inches of the headpipes glowing a dull red or much further down? These are still stock headpipes correct?

I was considering trying m807-212 map file. It appears to be a bit richer?

I have a difficult time beliveing that the pipes are glowing that much just from sitting at idle. Even without a Power Commander this should not be the case. Are you holding the bike at a higher than normal idle?
Are you sure the exhaust gaskets are sealed?

I haven't taken the headers off. The gaskets are factory installed (approx. 7500 miles on them). As for the idle, this is just walking away from the bike and coming back after a couple of minutes. Not touching the throttle.
I've seen this problem once before with a friend of mine. Once we got the correct map, the problem went away. I'm hoping that this is the case once again.

First, make sure that the Throttle % in the software reads "0" when the bike is warm and at idle.
What is the current warm idle speed?
Load map M807-000 (all zeros) and see if the problem is better or worse. Let me know and I can make adjustments from there.

I loaded the zero map, the pipes still glowed red. The throttle is at 5% and idle speed is 1000 rmp when warm.

You need to reset the TP% to read 0% when the bike is at idle. You can watch a video tutorial on how to do this at:
http://www.powercommander.com/powerc...20Throttle.swf
Was teh glowing any more or less with the zero map? It should have been one or the other.

That is interesting as the "zero map" has no fuel added at idle and the previous map did. I think there may be some other problem that we are missing. Just adding slip ons should not have induced the problem you describe.

I decided to verify the stock configuration. I put the original OEM mufflers and air filter back on the bike to check for the glowing. I do not having any glowing withthe OEM configuration. I left the PC on the bike with the zero map. Not sure if this help in troubleshooting or adds more complexity. Any thoughts? If I didn't have the glowing problem, what map would you suggest for my "attempted " configuration?
