PCIII usb misfiring?

Can DynoJet check my PC3 usb and tell if theres something wrong with it? Ive had my bike on 2different dynos and Im dropping the front injector until about 1/4 to 1/2 throttle or so. The spark plug is fireing away at all rpm's but the fuel and air wont change until you get on it. May the PC or computer is not sending a signal to the injector...Just wondering what their policy was on checking a unit out..

Thanks
Kevin

You can send the unit in for testing. Just contact us at 1-800-992-4993 and ask for a RMA#

I would like to know which version of firmware you have loaded in the unit before you send it back. Go to "view" then select "powercommander info". It will be listed in the window that opens.

When did this first start to happen?

From what I can tell it was when I put the HPI throttle body on took it to the dyno. We thought one of his sensors was going out because the front jug would just go crazy in the middle of a pull. It's at lower RPM's that it cuts in and out. He did get a map cut on it but told me the injectors were too big for my motor so I ran it a month or so and put stock injectors back in it. Took it back to another Dynojet dyno by my house "Cycle Werzk". He made one full pull then it started acting up, wouldnt idle and it was rich off the map all the way across. Thats when we saw the front jug was staying red until you got on it, then it starts to change the AFR.. So now im chasing electric instead of fuel problems I think? Just wanted to know if they could check out the PC under a load or when its hot and see if its dropping the signal to the front injector..Before I throw a Mikuni 42 on it..ha

Thanks

How long ago did you put the TB on the bike?

Prior to that you had no trouble with the bike?

I don't have a way of doing a "load test" on the unit short of getting a bike and running for an extended period. I would be willing to do it, but trying to find an older MM injected bike these days is quite difficult around here.

Let me know how the firmware update works. I may just send you a new unit to see if that resolves the problem.

The throttle body has been on there a couple or 3 months now.. It ran ok with the MM on it but wouldnt idle after it got warmed up or at stop lights, sometimes it would sometimes it would not. I'll see what it does today on the road with the new firmware in it..

Ok..I got to ride it a little and it ran good when it was stone cold. I let idle for about 10 min and got back on it and it was cutting out from the start until you got on it.. When it gets warmed up it wants to cut out and spit and sputter until about 1/4 throttle or so. The Dynojet dyno guy says the front injector is not working till then..If you want to send me a different unit I will gladly send it back to you if it does not fix the problem..It would really help me out in the trouble shooting process of this thing..I could move on to looking at something else if the PC is known to be good.

Thanks

You should not need to be a paid member to send a private message. I get them from non paying members all the time.

I need to have a last name to process the order. Also, please confirm you have a 1999 Road King. Your signature still shows a PCIIIr, so I want to make sure you still have the same bike.
