SESRT vista Driver and maps

I have installed the 4.77 software, but the laptop Im using with XP, and Vista on a different one, dont recognize the tuner.

In addition, looking for additional maps, specifically one for a 107, screamin eagle air cleaner, woods 7h, stage 3 heads, slip on supertrapps or similar. Im looking for a good "Break in" tune to get me to the dyno. Any recommenations.

The 4.77 is a SERT and is not fully compatible with Vista. There is no driver for the SERT, it uses a standard Com port. Did you select a com port in the SERT? Does the module have a RED button on it? If it does then it is not compatible with the SERT and is a SEST, the newer HD tuning package.

Here is some SERT info ... http://www.v-twinforum.com/forums/ef...wers-here.html

And some SEST info ... http://www.v-twinforum.com/forums/ef...sest-what.html

What USB to serial converter do you have? I have found only one type that will work. There may be others. I use USBG-232 from USB Gear (www.usbgear.com). I had to tweak the baud rate from 9900 to 11500 in order to work on my TTS.

OK. I do have the SEST, the one with the RED button. It has serial on one side, USB on the other...

What software do I use with this?

Any map pointers to use?

First you should purchase the SEST disk from a local HD dealer. Don't let them tell you it isn't available seperate. It cost about $25, this is assuming you don't have one. If you do have one, then make sure it is the latest version or I would still recommend purchasing a new disk.

All the drivers and installs are on that disk. If you have the 4.77 SERT installed, you can remove that as it will not work with your device.

They are called canned maps and yes there are many of them. IMO, they are only starting points and nothing beats a properly tuned bike, on a dyno.
