Problems downloading "ZIP" files! : V-Twin Forum: Harley Davidson Forums

It appears that there is a problem with the forum. All of the ZIP files I hvae posted are not saying they are invalid/corrupted.

I have checked them before uploading and they are fine.Once uploaded they cannot be downloaded, even ones that used to work that I posted a long time ago.

I also cannot download other peoples zip files.

I have contacted the forum admin and am waiting to hear back.

For now, I cannot post any more maps until they fix the problem.

Are you using MS Word for any part of the Zip files?

No, I am not.

Since files that were previously working are now not I think it must be on the server end.

I just checked one of the files you recently posted and it appears to be a valid zip file. The zip only contains the name of the file and very little data. Can you email me one of the zip files so I can check it as well.

Others have said that they have the same trouble downloading the files I have posted. I have checked each file before posting and they all unzip just fine before I upload them.

That will not help. I think the problem might have to do with the recent server upgrade. I will pass along the info.

I paid for a membership to gain access to some of the maps that are posted here so I could do some comparisons. Are all of these maps that are posted as zips useless now?

UPDATE: I can download and use the zip files when using the Mozilla Firefox browser but Internet Explorer does not work for me.

Thanks for the info. I just tried Firefox and it works for me as well. Now I have something to go on to get the issue fixed.

They all download fine for me using Firefox. The zip file also opens up just fine using 7-zip. The file inside the zip file can't be opened by me but that's because I don't have the software to read it.
