I get this comment a lot from people "bike runs hot". Compared to what?
It is a 96" air cooled engine. What are you basing your "hot" comment on?

Aside from the idle, does the bike run badly? If yes, where exactly? I need a little more to go on that "something seems a little off".

Try disabling the butterflies on the hpercharger so they stay open and see if anything changes. That whole butterfly deal is a bad design and does not do air flow any favors.

recently took a road trip @650 miles each way, did on different days.
Now have yellowing on left slip on, where it meets the headers.
Have previously made similiar trips at highway speeds 70-80 mph,
with no discoloration. Just had 5K service and there is more vibration than usual in rear.
With the map I am using, do you believe it is the correct one for using a hypercharger and the baffles (2 1/4 inch louvered core).
Thanks

How do you determine there is more vibration in the rear?

Make sure the TP% reads 0% in the software when the bike is warmed up and at idle. If it does not it needs to be reset.

The map you are using adds fuel at cruise. That is not going to make the muffler temp increase. I am not clear as to how you are comparing the previous rides when you did not notice the yellowing. Was this pre PCIII?

If the outside air temp was higher than previous rides this can contribute to yellowing as the pipes retain more heat for longer periods.

The map should be fine for your setup, but I really would lock the butterflies open on your hypercharger.

Mr. Dynojet

As per your suggestion was going to get out the laptop and check everything. SO, I took out install instructions to make sure I had not screwed anything up, according to directions I had not.

BUT, just to be sure, I went to powercommander website and looked up installation instructions for my unit.

LO and BEHOLD, powercommander had changed the installation instructions to include putting on O2 eliminators. A step they totally forgot to put on the instructions shipped with my unit. THIS is total BS.

If it was not for this site and the endless reading I have been doing trying to educate myself, who knows how long I would have left things this way.

BIG QUESTION, I have run my bike with the O2 elimators for @ 5500 miles. WHAT kind of damage do you thing I may have done?

usbpk9, take a deep breath and relax. No damage is going to be caused by leaving the O2 sensors connected. It only means that the bike will run the same AFR in cruise that it did stock. We even offer a PCIIIEX for the California market that leaves the O2 sensors in place. Several other "tuning modules" have the O2 sensors left in place, so there is nothing to worry about.

Here is what you need to do. First, take the map that you have loaded (M818-028) and zero out all of the fuel changes from 40% and lower (both front and rear tables). Now, with the O2 sensors still connected, go out and ride the bike for a day or two. This will reset the O2 offsets back to where they need to be. After that reload the original map and disconnect the O2 sensors and install the bypasses.

I apologize for the problem with the guide. I am not sure how old of a guide you have.

Once you have done the above let me know if you are still having running issues and I can try to help you further.
