Gave it a try this weekend. Did not get a chance to get up to speed thou. Ran mostly around 60-62 mph. Mileage came in around 45.5 mpg. much better mileage than the first run. Hopefully will get a chance to run it at 70-75 to check out the mileage then.

Had a chance over the last few days to see what kind of mpg I was getting at a higher speed. At 70 mph (3100 rpm) to 73 mph I got 37.5 mpg. These were freeway miles only. Any chance for additional tweaks? Still searching for that 40+ mpg at 70 mph and higher ..

If you don't care how the bike runs and are only fixated on the fuel economy we can try to lean it out more. At some point it becomes counterproductive.

Are there so few gas stations around where you ride that the additional 2.5 mpg's are critical? At legal speeds the fuel economy sounds like it is fine. Higher speed (and thus, higher RPM) is always going to increase fuel use. Not to mention the added aero drag.
