simple question

Hey yall, been doing alot of reading up on the sert, power commander, s/e race fueler and the vance and hines fuel pak. Here is my problem, there is no way to get my bike near a computer to hook up any usb cable. I would need one 100 ft long. Kinda leaning towards the power commander. Do I need use a computer to use a power commander?

Hi Captian.

Two word.

LAP TOP.

Or simply move your PC to the Garage.

But any system you choose, you will still need to take it to a dyno to be dialed in, so really it is a mute point.

I have worked with a Power commander and a SE race tuner, the Se race tuner is far and away the better system.

Unless you like 32 MPG and black smoke.

Unhappy computer------------away

sporty,
The PC USB can be worked away from bike with the 9 volt adaptor that comes with the unit...also you can work the buttons on the bike...
As Jiffy said always best to DYNO TUNE...But I Disagree as to 32 MPG AND SMOKE this is true only if the TUNER IS A FOOL...
The PC can add or remove fuel as can the SERT...the big DIFFERENCE is cost... SERT $460 PC $360...tuning time SERT 3-4 hrs=$300-$500 PC 1hr=$175 at my DYNO
My 2001 Ultra 95in ,91HP,104TQ last summer trip to east coast avg 40mpg best 48mpg at low speed ...HMMM...not to bad.
Good Luck
