I was just reading different threads about SERTS, Power Commanders, Twinscans etc., And i was wondering what you guys think about all these discussions on maps dyno tunes etc. I look at them and think what a waste of money, it's like ancient technology, after running the TMAT.
I'm sure i'll hear about how many ways you can tune with the SERT , and i'm sure if i was a racer and had a dyno i would probally love it, now if i was a tuner i would love it even more everytime i get someone on it for a 200.00 dyno pull.
But for the average Joe i feel sorry for him , he has no idea how much money he's wasting , and much better his bike would run with the TMAT.

Been watching these threads for quite a while when I finally got off the fence and purchased the TMAT. I thought my bike ran fairly well with the PC3, but the TMAT is awesome. I noticed right away when I fired the engine up to do the IAC learn. It ran a lot smoother and a lot less handlebar shake. When I finally was able to put some miles on it I was impressed! The cold start issues ( I call it the PC blub-blub) were a thing of the past. No more black smoke out the exhaust when outside temps are cold. No more little stutters at low speed/low throttle. When I took my first ride, it popped back through the intake once in the first 3 miles. (outside temp in the 30's) After that, it never did it again. It is true that you can actually feel it run better as you keep driving it. Excellent product. If anyone is still on the fence like I was, jump off and go buy one! I don't think you will be diappointed!

I've been lurking...with the TMax running in my built 05" RKC 103 stroker (lots of HP and torque) and the bike has NEVER run better. It is better ever day and today was the best it has ever run.

Anybody getting trouble codes?
I have an error code that won't go away but can't find out what the code means, b1154, but the code lists I've found stop at b1153. I'm posting here because the TMAT is all I've really done so I'm kind of taking a survey...sort of.
Anybody??

I haven't gotten this one, but I get U1016 / loss of ECM serial data alot.
It looks like your's has to do with the clutch switch. Here are 3 instances I found in the '07 electrical codes.
B1154 Clutch input low: locate and repair open on BK wire between clutch
switch and ground or clutch switch and connector
B1154 Clutch input low: replace clutch switch
B1154 Clutch input low: replace TSM/TSSM/HFSM
Hopefully that will get you started in the right area.

THANK YOU! I don't know where you found that code information (I'm buying my service manual at the end of the week) but that is exactly what I was hoping it was, I can't start my bike unless the bike is in neutral even if I have the clutch disengaged (in) and was going to bring the bike in for warranty work but wanted to make sure it wasn't some sort of TMAT code. I'm sure something is wrong with the 2007 "neutral safety switch". I also got the U1016 but I seem to have been able to clear that code, does that one come back?
I loaded the latest and greatest map for my bike today and lowered the "Accel fuel" to 5 from 10, I haven't actually done the math but the mileage seemed to have improved quite a bit but time will tell.
I thought the bike ran well before but today it ran awesome, can't say enough about the TMAT! Ride safe

I had to send my TMAT back yesterday.
2 days ago i took the seat off and washed my bike like i always do, i have done this several times with the TMAT. when i got done i blew the bike off and parked it in the garage and waxed it, but didn't start it.
Yesterday i back the bike out and tried to start it , and hear the fuel pump cycling on and off but not stopping just going on and off.
I pulled the seat off and thought maybe it's the relay, pulled it out and made sure everything was dry . even pulled the connector off the TMAT and made sure it wasn't wet.
Finally i pulled the TMAT out and plugged my stock ecm in , turned the key on and everything was fine , started right up. Of course after riding with the TMAT the bike felt like crap , can really tell how much better it was with the TMAT.
I sent it back Saturday to see whats wrong with it. I'm wondering if some moisture got in there , since that was the only thing that i did to it. But like i said before i have washed the bike a bunch of times the same way.
I also thought maybe i'll hook it up to the laptop and reload the map. It wouldn't even link with the lap top.

I loaded a new map in my TMAT yesterday and was checking some things out afterward and heard a buzzing noise, not sure what it was but I turned the ignition switch on and off one more time and it went away. I hope were not seeing a problem developing. I know if I hadn't heard it and reset it I would have at the very least had a dead battery when I went out today.

hey eddie i also had problems with mine and it was a bad neutral switch.i don't know what the exact code was though sorry.i would get the neutral light coming on while driving down the road,if you lift up or push down lightly on the shifter you could get light to flicker on and off.i was also told that this was a know problem with alot of 07's and they already have a new superceded switch out to fix problem.

Mori,
sorry to hear, that sucks...
normally, getting the ECM wet shouldn't affect anything. But with the Thundermax ECM, you have that socket in the center for pluging in the computer.
I would be concerned about getting water into that socket, maybe Zippers and Thunderheart need to make a rubber plug for that, just to help keep moisture out?
I know that if I DO remove my seat to wash the bike, I'll be covering the ECM with a plastic bag!

I leave my cable plugged into the TM. To much hassle trying to plug & unplug it. I then have the cable coiled up and then have 2 heavy duty freezer grade Ziploc bags that I cut down and put over the end that connects to the computer. Wrap a rubber band around real tight(Just cut it off they are cheap) then make sure the bag is turned upside down so water will not seep into it. been working great for me so far.

Where the plug is on my ecm i couldn't leave it plugged in , the seat would hit it.
I agree with Duece , they shoulkd have a rubber plug. But who knows if that's what happened .
I wouldn't get to upset , i'm sure it's a ramdom thing. Who knows if water even got in it.
Guess it's a good idea to hang on to your stock ecm for emergency use.
I know you can't jump your bike with the ecm fuse in or you'll burn the ecm out. If the battery goes dead you have to pull the ecm fuse and let the battery charge up before you start it . But the stock ecm is the same in that regard.
Do they have a y that plugs in were the data port is, that way i could plug my laptop into that instead of taking the seat off, or wouldn't that work?

no room on mine either, the seat sits right on top of the ECM.
a rubber plug would be ideal though, and leaving your cable plugged in is still not sealing any moisture out, but it IS very convenient for plugging in the laptop!

I am finding out fast that depending on the bike the ECM fits in differently (Big Time). My data port on mine sits on the bottom of the ECM, so moisture is going to have a harder time getting in from rain, washing etc. I agree a rubber cap/plug if nothing else would give you a nice warm fuzzy.
