You have to look at the maps and find one close, we were talking about this yesterday.

Why would you be on a fence? have you found anything bad in this forum about the TMAT? Maybe you should get the DTT, then you can bitch about how you wished you hat the TMAT.
Sorry guys just wish people would read the thread about this product then go to the DTT thread , then decide.

The reason I am on the fence are, I am efi stupid, computer stupid and if I have trouble with it, I sure can't take it back to the dealer and say fix it without there being a warranty issue. Just trying to look at it at all angles so I don't get in over my head.

You can't be anymore computer or EFI illiterate than i am.
Get the unit and we will walk you through it. Once you put it on, it tunes itself, you have to remember a lot of these guys have to play with it.

I have had no problem with the A/B trip meters on my bike.

Once you have the TMAX installed and up and running, you do not have to touch it, it will run and autotune and you will be very happy.

Yes, if you have question, they will get answered here on the forum.

Most of the questions that are on this post are from the few people that like to tinker and play with the software. I think most of use are not tuners and are learning the settings and how the TMAX works.

I personally don't know much about EFI, and I am having a blast playing with the TMAX and I am learning a good bit about how EFI works. Wish I owned a dyno, i would really have some fun.

I am computer smart and will help where I can.

Thanks for the response. I have read all 53 pages on this subject which is a lot of info so if I ask one that has been answered just over look me!! Does the engine check light work the same, as in will it come on if a sensor craps out? The only reason I ask is I downloaded the instruction manual and it mentions if the check engine light come on you have a very high head temp. Just wanted to know if it is limited to just the head temp after auto install.

I have been running the TM since July last year on a 06 Dyna SG FXDI. Factory Security system etc. I put the AT on in Nov 2006. To date No problems with anything electrical or mechanical on my bike. A & B trip meter works fine, TSSM works fine. Engine Check light works fine. Turn signals work fine. Others have had problem but once they go back a recheck their work they find they did not get the connectors in tight etc.

The TMAT has been the best money I have spent on my bike so far.

The only problem I have had it the constant urge to grab a handfull of throttle because "damn this thing runs great now with the TMAT"

Get the TMAT. The DTT is too hard for you.

Mine works fine. As does the speedo and the self cancelling blinkers.

I guess i just get frustrated, this thing works so good and is so easy to install and it seems everyone is raving about it. Telling us how there bike never ran better etc.
Then you get a question like this " Is the TMAT any good" , just do a little research then if you have a question we will help out.
I guess we need a sticky with FAQ'S.

I just logged a TSSM code so I can verify that, yes, it works exactly like the factory system when you have a code, i.e. the security key light illuminates for 8 seconds after starting the bike.
