I totally suck with computers, but you would have to be brain dead not to be able to set this up. You can always call zippers for help.
I did when i was having a brain deag moment.

I guess it depends on what RPM range you cruise in. I have the same type hump in my cruising RPM maps. The AFR is in the mid 13s at and just off idle leaning out to the low 14.s in my cruising TPs and richens up to the mid 12s at WOT but mine starts in the low 2000s and goes to about 3300 RPM (I'm not on my laptop so I can't look at the exact numbers) but on my Ultra Classic that is where I cruise. I don't usually run much below 2200 RPM and 73 MPH is 3000 RPM in 5th gear so I can go up to about 80 in the leaner range, but the faster I go the more I have to twist the gas because riding an Ultra on the interstate is a lot like pushing a sheet of plywood down the road.

Newest version is 17.11.
I think it came out in the last day or two. I just installed it with no problems, although I've no idea what changes are in it. Looks like it might contain some new maps.

CRC stand for "cyclic redundency check" which means the software is checking to make sure it is good after the download, or something along those lines.
I would suggest that you try to donwload again and see what happens, worst case, you uninstall the software and install it again from the TMAX web page.

I experience the same thing, except mine is when I blip the throttle at low RPMs. Thanks to the posts later on in this thread, I looked at the Accel Fuel setting in the manual and it has the following "Tuning Tip":
Quote:
If you experience a pop or misfire in the intake tract while
blipping the throttle at lower RPM’s, lower Accel fuel value until the
situation improves.
|
Mine was set to 12.0 by the base map so I lowered it to 8.0 (the manual says Zippers recommends between 8-14). I haven't ridden it yet to see if it corrects the problem or not, but I'm crossing my fingers.

You have to buy the whole unit, it takes the place of the stock ECU.

Here's the ThunderMax website.
And here's the Zipper's site.
All of the maps will be included in the software, but do a software update through the SmartLink program when you get it installed. There's a newer version out.
You can follow the links at the ThunderMax site here (scroll to the bottom of page) and download the manuals and software if you want to get a jump on things.
