Well, I'm done with this piece of ****. Anybody want a TCFI IID? It's listed in the classified section. I have an appointment with RC cycles for 2 weeks from today for a SERT tune.

Joe,
cant say that I blame you... I am almost to that point myself...
The bike is running pretty good but I still have that dang off idle hesitation and it is getting old...
I am going to give a little longer but with all the stuff going on with the SERT software it is looking pretty good....

good luck on selling the DTT.. besure not to let them see this thread...

I'm listing it on fleabay also, so I'm sure someone will pick it up. My problem is the starting, everytime I get it worked out where it seems to be starting decently it only lasts a few days and then the SOB goes back to the same old BS of backfiring or sneezing out the intake on starts or it starts fine but then wants to cough and die after a few seconds unless I blip the throttle. I just don't need this crap, I should have just kept the PCIII on it and never listened to GMR I never had a single issue with the PCIII once the dynotune was done, the only reason I went with the DTT crap was to avoid more dyno tuning. Well, I learned my lesson, I'm in agreement with whoever it was on this board that said anything other than SERT is a mindfukc for the ECM. This is also the absolute last EFI Harley I own. Say what you want about how much more efficient EFI is, it aint worth a **** if you can't get it tuned correctly and easily as needed. For most of the country this is impossible.

Joe

I went to the DTT with the closed loop system so that I would not have to deal with tuning issues once past the initial setup....
Well that hasnt been the result...
I went as far as to follow DTT's recomendations,, and used the system that was deemed the "Best".... spent a lot of money and still have tuning issues...

My only problem with my SERT was that it was setup a little to much to the lean side.. an easy fix,.....

I too think that is the direction to go to....

With that I will be selling my Gerolamy TB and my DTT...
I sure am glad that I kept my SERT....
I will just have to live without the closed loop systemmmmm

Joe let me know how things go...

Curtis, I am still running with some problems in my 110 SE2.

Mainly sneezing when I blip the throttle downshifting at low rpm.
Sometimes the idle when hot goes higher for some seconds, and a couple of tines when hot on the motoway it went off at the refueling stop.
Have you got in your file some maps for the 2007 FLHTSE2 ? I have a 50mm SE throttlebody and the S&S VPO pipes with thru duals.
Best Regards
Andrea

Send me your map. www.Curtismachine967@bellsouth.net. I will look it over and see if I can come up with an answer. A lot of people seem to have this problem.

This is weird...

Still having issues with the VSS / turn signals. If the turn signals don't self-cancel, I know the check engine light is going to come on soon.

And if the turn signals won't self-cancel and/or the check engine light is on, that also means VSS isn't being recorded on the Log.

But if I shut the motor off for 15-20 seconds and restart it, the problems disappear?

So it seems that this problem has something to do with the initial start-up.

I can pretty much tell from the idle when I start it whether or not it's functioning correctly.

Seems that if it's working correctly, the idle will be around 1100 rpm. If it's lower than that, I know it's going to act up.

But in all instances, a simple re-start fixes the issue.

Any ideas of what could possibly cause this?

Sorry, I didn't see your post sooner. I haven't had much time to do tuning or tweaking...but the BLM formula has been working for me.

Again, the capitalization is EXTREMELY important. The formula I'm using (which I believe was posted earlier) is below:
Code:
Front BLM Formula = [Status Flags]&4?[Interleaved BLM]:[Front BLM]
Rear BLM Formula = [Status Flags]&4?[Rear BLM]:[Interleaved BLM]
Which version of the TCFI are you using? I'm using the TCFI IID, I never verified if the fields are the same for different versions. If you want PM me and I'll give you my email address so you can send your log file for me to take a look at.

Exclamation TPS Value changed

Just for grins and giggles, after updating my BLM's, I checked the value of the TPS setting. I was surprised to find a value of .35v . I had originally set it to .40v.
I would recommend everyone check their setting on a regular basis as it can apparently change.

Deceleration Pop and Burble

I've been searching the thread for some info on eliminating the decel pop that I have after changing to a V&H Big Radius 2 into 1 pipe and SE Heavy Breather. I've got the TCFI-IID working well except for this pop after I do a WOT and let off. It actually gives off a good pop or two and then some regular burble.
I've attached my latest map and log. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Also check to make sure your header clamps are tight at the heads.

Your rework on my map has done wonders. I took a 20 minute ride tonight after uploading it and the popping is gone. Now I want to analyze and compare to see how you worked this magic. Thanks for your help with this issue.
