Why not change this?
Delta TPS Gain in the Advance Modules Parameters.
I'm trying to find ways of getting rid of the spark knock from a 70mph roll on.

I doubt that this would work for what you are trying to cure.........
Chris is very adament about not changing this parameter, but you never know what will work.
I would think that changing the timing curve (1 degree makes a pretty big difference) a bit and maybe trying to richen the AFR in that range a little as well.
You can also check into the Delta TPS Based Fuel Multplier Table and increase the the fuel multiplier a bit (probably about 10% at a try).
You might try the Delta TPS and the timing first,, hope it will work for you.. then go to the AFR tables and richen it a bit..and hopefully that wont knock your mpg down...
Oh yeah almost forgot.. I know a couple of guys that also have gone down one step on the spark plugs (colder) and that seemed to help some....

I use the Edit user fuction for nitrous to get rid of roll on knock. Cut NOS on, use 2500rpm, 3500rpm, 35tps on, 50tps off, 68 vss min, 5 degrees retard. Works for me. You can change settings to suit your driving habits.

Curtis,, nice to see you back in the neighborhood..
You are using this to run Nitrous or just to adjust for the pinging at roll on?

User Output
Good idea Curtis. I'd kind of forgotten about the user functions and had long ago dismissed them as a NOS trigger only. In looking at them again I see that it can be used to selectively retard timing based on speed, TPS and RPM. I'm assuming you are using the RPM/TPS based switch. It's interesting that the screen says the Default is OFF but on the canned maps it's on with a 0 retard value. Seems like switching it off would free up processor resources, one less thing to monitor. Kind of like sampling for the nominal IAC.

Just to control 6th gear roll on knock. Use the NOS trigger it works better.

Curtis,, I know that this is a stupid question but will this work on a 5sp system as well...?

Yes it will work because it is rpm, speed and tps controlled.

I've been dealing with my TCFI IID for about a year now. I was one of the first to fit one on a Sportster. It's been an educational experience to say the least. But the TCFI unit now has about 20,000 miles on it, so I must be doing something right.
In my quest to improve things I've been looking for a better way to view the logs. The files are simply CSV files and with a little messaging I am able to load them into Megasquirt's log program, MegaLogViewer. Problem is the BLM values. The two values in the CSV file are "Interleaved BLM" and "BLM Cell Number". I have no idea how to calculate front and rear BLM. Any ideas? The other interesting item I see is "Status Flags". It clearly shows open loop vs. closed, but I'm sure it's showing something else.
Here's a screen shot in my gallery of what it looks like. http://www.v-twinforum.com/gallery/d...aViewerLog.jpg

If you want to use it, open the log file in a text editor to remove the first two lines of your log file, then remove the quotation marks from all the headings, and finally remove all the historical data from the bottom of the file.
I can give further tips as well to get the application to play a little nicer if your interested.

Temp reading?
What would cause the ET on the TCFI log to not even be on the chart? Oil temp is usually 200F during a 80-85mph ride.
Also, getting the following codes from yesterdays ride:
P0505-IAC Low / 1 trip
P0505-IAC High / 1 trip
P0374-Cylinder Sync Lost / 2 trips
Check engine light comes on when riding but goes out when I come to a stop?
Just installed new O2 sensors & did the Free Air Calibration as I thought they might be the problem but obviously not...
Starts great (FINALLY!), idles fine and runs pretty good but I did notice it ran a bit differently after installing the new O2 sensors.
Front & Rear BLM's have a few red cells and I tried Apply but they still are off.
I also notice that according to the TCFI Log, the volts are between 13 & 14 even at speed. I know a Twin Cam is supposed to put out 14 at idle and figured it would slightly increase at 2000rpm or better?
New battery, voltage regulator and fairly new stator...

Anyone have a basemap?
I'm looking to see if anyone has worked out a good basemap for the following build -
95" S/E Flattop Pistons with the reliefs opened up a bit(just to be safe)
Woods TW-6G cams
Big Boyz Heads with 1.9 intake valves & compression releases
78cc chambers = 10-1 CR
0 deck height on both pistons
195 CCP
S/E Adjustable pushrods
Cometic top-end gasket kit with .030 head gasket
Baisley Spring
DTT TCFI Wego IID auto-tune EFI system
Fatcat 2-1 with quiet baffle
Zippers 320 cfm air cleaner
S/E Triple Platinum plugs
S/E Clutch spring
Looking for a good basemap that will give good power and good mpg. Proper AFR charts or Advance charts would be nice.....ones that have been tweaked and tuned for this build.
If anyone has one, email it to me - maineultraclassic@maine.rr.com.........or post it here.
Thanks,
Steve
