Just finished the 7.04 update. What I used was the 2001 95ci file. Here is what I found.
1. Follow the directions. I matched all 2D tables as described in the directions.
2. The ET Based Front Cylinder Cold Start Enrichment Table was too rich. I just matched it with the Rear, with one exception. I increased the three "15" values to "16". The front and rear cylinders are now perfectly matched on start and warmup.
Runs and drives much smoother. More refined. Chris must have refined some of the algorithms.
Good luck!

I'll do the upgrade tonight and give a report tomorrow.
I've made the software changes here on the laptop while at work, so it should be a "simple" matter of doing the uploads
I know... I know... I just jinxed myself.

Set up on new build is not going well.
I am REALLY PIG RICH, anytime I try to drive it it breaks up and has no power.. IAC is set, TPS is set, free air is done, base 95 Duel TB map. I looked at the front trim and it was way out I set it to 100 and that with setting BLM on that table to 80% got me into a nice start, roll on at idle is smooth, took it for the last try and it was the best it has been but not very good in my opinion.
Two things in play the new Marren injectors at 4.80 gram/sec flow and I suspect maybe the little gas I had in the tank may have gone bad, condensation and such.
My brother got me a 1.25 gallons of premium and we dumped that in, then on a test run I put 4.48 gallons of Sunoco 93 in. Not sure how much would affect things or how long to run/mix/dilute the old gas. And the math is not adding up on the gas as I poured and pumped both amounts of gas so I know the quantity is correct.
At any rate Plugs were fouled badly a few times, very black and sooty, not wet or oily thank god. Don't know where or what the issue is but I may be close as at least I made it around the block with a bit more confidence, but was not willing to run it 15 miles home yet.
On the way from the last gas fill I hit 2500 RPM and it broke up and died! Again the last trip was the best, but I got issues for sure.
I did upgrade the firmware and software so I may be missing something?
I have not had to do this in a long time, and although I had some richness issues and such, it ran pretty well on my last build..
Anyone have any ideas?

Ok. Here's my morning review.
The new firmware is nice. I too had to make a few adjustments to the two cylinder enrichment tables.
I also went in and turned off closed loop at 0% throttle, all the way across. What I was experincing this morning was when the bike went into closed loop mode, as soon as there was a temperature change where it went from one cell to another, the bike would start to oscillate, go out of control, and die.
That just leaves me needing to adjust my fuel at 1000/0% now, because I checked it when I got to work, and it's WAY rich.
It's supposed to be colder tomorrow morning, so I'll clear the log and grab it again then. I've attached my log and map from the ride in this morning.

Stock 88

Well it helps to read the new firmware directions. No wonder I was pig rich I had this in my front and rear et based cold start enrichment tables
145-98-77-65-57-51-45-40-35-31-27-23. I see you need to edit these from previous maps. Also the Asynchronous Fuel gain was at 0 instead of 100. I am hoping this is what it is and I will load the 2001 Gerolamy file with the ET as is, and the 100 on that Gain to see if I can get there.
I am sure my not reading the directions on the new firmware is and was my issue and I will know later today.

LAF, looks like you solved it. My conversion did the same thing.

Firmware Upgrade
It looks like firmware v 7.04 is now replaced with v 7.10. The doc says it contains "minor" bug fixes found in 7.04 that corrects a problem with J1850 bus initialization on some touring models.

Strokester, Did you find the directions? 7.10 is working fine. Follow the directions to the letter! Good luck!

Ok. I'm having a weird issue. I've had it for a while, and I can't figure out what's wrong.
When I first crank up the bike in cold weather... It will take a start or two to start running (the first button push or two dies immediately). But then, after it starts running, as soon as it hits the first temp change in the map (say going from 0c to the 16c cell). The bike will either oscillate and die... or just die.
Any ideas?

Go back to square one. Put all the 2D tables to the original settings. Idle AFR should be 13.0-13.5. That is a guess to start out with. Need your files for any real diagnosis.

I figured it out... I watched very closely at the computer and zoomed in a whole bunch on the log files... What was happening is I have closed loop turned off for the 0% row, but not the idle 2.5% row.
If you read the manual (oops) it says that it uses the 2.5% row for IAC values between 50-80. I missed that statement (or I didn't understand what I was reading).
What the bike was doing, was the IAC would bounce between 51 and 49, causing it to bounce in and out of closed loop. I think my pipes act a little like drag pipes at idle, and I believe my ET based enrichment values might still be a tad rich. The bike will drop to 49, get rich, bounce back up to 50-51, go into closed loop, lean out, bounce back to 49... and it would just get worse and worse.
Once I turned off closed loop at 2.5%, and adjusted the values just a tad, no more oscillations.
Now, as it gets colder, I just need to finish getting the -16 , 0 , 16 ET based enrichment cells tuned, and I should be done (famous last words).
