What about cutting and grinding down a small cpu or chipset heatsink and using thermal glue to attach it. I've done this before for other items... may be worth a shot... oh, and you need to empty out your PM's

Good idea. And I can find that stuff at a computer nerd store or an electrical supply outlet. I thought I would try it by the sheet first if I can find it. If not, I will probably go your route. Sounds like a winter project. Thanks.

Any computer repair shop will have a junk bin full of heat sinks.
Ask for some TIM material to attach it. Sort of a two sided thermal tape.

What's the most current release? Have they issued any new product release notes?

Thanks for the firmware update, I'm still on 5.23. Did you notice any difference after your firmware change? Did all of your tuning data remain or did you have to start over?

I updated because I was experiencing the "enleanment". I haven't had the chance to ride due to work and rain.
You should download and save your latest file, and then after flashing the unit you just upload that file into the EFI and your back where you started.

Me too! Man when I looked at my logs and saw what happens when I roll off the wick I was at a loss. Hope this helps will know maybe today as we have been in a rain delay for 5 days now. Although I would see a lean condition or spikes I have to remember we are seeing events that last a second or less. None the less I hope this helps somewhat.

Yah LAF, It just seems to have just started too. I was getting popping @ 2000-2500 rpm when I rolled off and coasted. I have never had popping! Weird. We'll see if the new version helps this weekend.
BTW, How's the Gerolamy running? I'm contemplating getting it so that I can get rid of these reversion effects at low throttle and rpm.

Updated my firmware to 5.24 today and and put about 80miles on it. idle seems alot better, no more stalling or dying. mid and upper feels good too. I would like to richen it up a little in a few areas, not sure the right approach to do that though... What have you guys been doing when your AFR seems a little lean (15-17) through certain rpm bands?

FWIW - I loaded firmware 5.24 last night and rode it to work this morning. I really don't see any difference other than my signals are back to flashing 3 times now when I first turn on the key. Prior to the firmware upgrade it had gotten over this which is caused by the TSSM seeing a foreign ECM. Maybe the TSSM needs to "get to know" the new ECM now again? I see the red key at startup is still present too. I wasn't having a problem with decel enleanment anyway- but nothing ventured nothing gained. At least the upgrade doesn't seem to have broken anything.

Got the Gerolomy installed, still got idle issues but getting there, upgraded to MFI Stage 1 injectors, they come balanced for $89 each and just did the firmware update. It starts and seems to run I'll learn more this weekend. Still hard to start, maybe I will open the butterfly's a bit. I now need to break down and order the live view cable and stop shooting in the dark.

thinking about it
I guess the only way to be sure is to reinstall the Kuryakyn 57mm TB after I get it back from Kuryakyn and see if it goes haywire. If it does, that will be a "for sure" test.
The stock TB is working just fine and is just a pleasure to have on the bike even though I cannot break 114 hp with the stock TB which is not a problem since I have not had to buy a rear tire for 7 months, so far. So why re-install the stock TB? It is the only way to be sure that it is not capable of being tuned on my bike. Before I put on the stock TB, I installed the Kury and it was not stable: the IAC and TPS were possessed by who knows what demon. I ran out of incense trying to stablilize the tune with the Kury. So, reinstalling the new Kury (when I get it from Kury after sending my "blowup" 57mm Kury back to Kury), should clear things up.
If the new Kury works as well as the stock TB, then the original Kury must have had a broken butterfly shaft all along which screwed up the IAC and TPS no matter what I tried to do. We shall see.
I ordered the 1.8" intake port Kury 57mm since I am putting new heads on the engine this winter. And, I am updating the exhaust system and the cam. I guess I will know in a couple of months whether the Kury will work on my engine combo. And, as always, I will post the good or the bad.

and
I have been running my 6.1 gps (at 58 psi) injectors on the stock TB (which were also used on the Kury 57) and they have worked just fine since they are 3 bar equilivant to about 5.4 gps more or less. Tim at Marren cleaned and flowed my 2004 stock injectors since if I ending buying the BCG dual plenum, assuming the Kury 57mm won't work, then I am set to go with the stock injectors on the BCG or the 6.1 injectors. My front cylinder tune is so darn good at present with the stock TB since I took over two weeks and about 20 downloads to get the front cylinder right, I really hate to take the stock TB off. But, I guess doing all this is better than hanging new curtains in the spare bedroom. It seems like everyone is working out their dual O2 sensor problems, so I might add that as opposed go going through the front cylinder tune thing all over again when I put on the 57mm TB. We shall see.
