Thanks
Yes, in principle but without the data export function. Don't know specifically what the differences in the ECM part numbers are. My 2008 build date Jan 2008 has the 'A' designator.

Outside the window the valve is always open.
Overrated issue IMHO

Well you misundestand me ... I do NOT want to run in "enabled mode" because open/closed makes a HUGE difference in sound level - it just sounds crazy with mufflers louder than stock... Allmost like asking Pavarotti to sing and put his hand over his mouth 1/3 of the time - on off...

So my alternative is to run closed ALL the time instead of Open ALL the time - And THAT may take away ponies

To each its own. I like the ability to run louder mufflers with the option to quiet the bike down in town. Works as a speed indicator as well

I had this happen to me as well with the 200 series maps..........I could not get the SEST to function correctly and loaded and unloaded it 3 times before it functioned properly.

I still dont know if it was me or the SEST no working properly at the time or VISTA...................but after the 3rd attempt I could load and adjust each section of the maps from the 176 series through to 200................so it may be a software glitch or it may be MS VISTA fugging with it...............the later I tend to believe more so.
Try earlier maps than the 176 and see if these will load.........

Sorry I can not be of help with this as I am in Nigeria and the bike is in Oz.

Thanks for the reply. I am still trying to figure out if this is the system I want to buy. Your response said it does not have the data export function. I am not sure I know what you meant by that. I know it has a data record feature, would you please clarify what the data record and read capabilities are for a bike owner.

Thanks again

It is a race only item. The MoCo can reject any warranty claims that could be traced back to a race only part.
Check with the selling dealer.

I don't think the ECM stores and audit trail of where and when it was last modified. So technically, you could flash it with a stock/stage I program and not have it found.

That would be a correct assumption when it comes to SERTs and warranties correct?

All be it, if I screwed up the programming and leaned her out more that the stock specs and burnt it up, I wouldn't expect that to be covered under warranty. But at the same time, I know how easy it is to "close a case" so to speak, without due diligence and blame a failure on a modification.

I'm just saying, if I had a warranty issue, I'd want to return her to stock (or close to), one, to see if that rectifies the problem and two, so they don't arbitrarily blame something else.

The dealer has to install the stock map. SEST, SERT doesn't allow you to download it from the ecm.

Rookie question here.... where do i connect the race tuner to my 08 ultra.... which connection????? and do i need another cable to go from the tuner to the bike... i already have the one to go from the computer to the tuner.

i just want to upload the map in the tuning software until i can get to a dyno....

Hi all Just a couple of questions.
What does ACR (Active compression release) do?
and this one's been asked.... my SEST won't load 200 series maps? it's currently running 176 series but it's sayin my ECM isn't compatible with the 200.
Thanks

ACRs come as a standard item on the CVO bikes and reduce the cranking pressure by opening a valve in the cylinder head. Purpose is to avoid hot start issues and problems with the starters. ACR can be added to SE heads designed to accept them.

The 200 - calibrations are designed for the 2008- electronic throttle bikes. That's why you should read the calibration description first ....

TTS mastertune does, so that's reason to prefer that one right there
