D&D Fatcat w/quiet baffle

I just finish a few posts re: how ro recalibrate. However, I have another question. I changed to the D&D Fatcats w/ quiet baffle on a 2007 Dyna (96" w/ O2 sensors). Has the SE aircleaner as well. The only map V&Hs has is for Rhineharts 2 into 1. Probably fine, but i wonder if anyone has worked something up more specifically for the D&D?

regards, greg

You need to call V&H, every ones 2 into 1's are different, I highly doubt that the rhineheart one will be right.
And the upgrade o 12 is worth it.

I got my V & H fuelpak from Eastern Performance....one day delivery out here!!! took the ECM off but it was secured with white loctite and the screws spun in the "bed." I ended up using the dremel and a minivise grip. My concern is the ECM fell to the floor in the basement from about 3 ft. I assume that is not a problem. I haven't put it all together since i had other things to do today, but it looks like a piece of cake. Just wanted to ask about the ECM.

Ictinike is an unknown quantity at this point
I'd rather drop one out of a plane and use it than have it hit with a static charge... Don't think you'll have a problem.

When the weather here was good here, I have been putting up a tree house for the grandkids, then the rain and i cant get the thing out of the walkout basement, too wet and slippery. ....VERY helpful at V&H and patient. Got it all together and will concur on those pesky little screws. I save a lot of time by reading all the threads here.. loaded the values thru 33 and started in the basement. sounds good and seems a little taller on the idle, but haven't ridden yet. I have obiligations this AM but 48* by noon. I hate cold weather....hate it!! But i will be riding for a few hours this afternoon. I will report then....I had really not had any issues with my bike other than heating (which doesn't bother me too much.. had an Excelsior Henderson...that was hot) and a little lag on acceleratiion. I did this as "preventive maintenance."

Thanks to all one this thread. I had some bumps along the way in trying to be cute for which I apologize. Still, the insight and directions are wonderful.

Hope you are getting well, Jeffytune. If you get hooked on those hydrocodone pills, well, there is a site here for that also!!!!

took a 170 miler today from C'ville west to Staunton then down to Lexington, over to the Blueridge and back home again. What I noticed was kinda like when I got my hearing aids for the first time 20 years ago. I didn't know what i wasn't hearing. There was such a quiet consistency to the ride. Accelerated quickly, consistently. I noticed where before, I would want to switch from 5th gear to 6th around 65 mph. For some reason I rode very comfortably in 5th @ 65 and up to about 75.???
The engine just sounded better, "felt" better. I did not notice any great difference in hp. Gas mileage was down a little but i expected that. The temp of my oil ranged from 188-204 with a kuryakyn digital read out. The ambient temp was between 42-48. That is way too cold for me....but the ride was so nice I hardly noticed until i got home. Then i shook like jelly for about 30 min.
The V&H fuelpak is the best thing I have done for this bike, IMHO....again, thanks all, for all your hep!

ECM removal

Never told anyone but I had the same problem getting the ECM off the tray. 2 bolts came loose and 2 spin their nut in the tray. Had to resort to the Dremel and vise-grips also. My brother has the same bike and had the same problem. Definitely seeing a pattern with 07' softails at least. But, it was definitely worth the trouble.

I still saved that tray in case I sell the bike and the guy/gal doesn't want the fuelpak. Taking add-ons off and selling them separately certainly brings more for the bike in total. I have no plans for that....now. I think the tray will go back in decently and the bolts would fit. I wonder if they do that to be able to tell if the bike has been work on?

Great to hear this. I feel the same way. Best fuel management system I've invested in.

It is amazing what the right fuel curve can do your a engine ain't it.

Yep!!
I think I have saved this engine so it will have a long life. What a dealer will submit on warranty and what he won't seems to sway with the wind. I am quite sure I will not get an extended warranty on this bike; but i have until aug of 2009 to decide. I should clarify about the temp; just know it was hot. I just got the therm. and have really no idea what the oil temp was (harley syn) I will be changing to Amsoil.
