I bought my exhaust from them because no one could beat the price and free shipping, arrived in a week with no issues, now after reading the thread I may chalk it up to luck the first time and look into someone else. Thanks for the heads up Chris, much appreciated.

Hi Alan. I have an 08 Road King with V&H ovals, true duals and, of course, the fuel pak. Mode 23 is one of those modes I have played around with in the past in an attempt to eliminate decel popping. My experience has been as follows:
As the value of mode 23 is decreased the so called "Dead" feeling increases. Vance and Hines claims that this action cuts the fuel to the injectors a lot sooner as you close your throttle. As a result of making this adjustment, decel popping went away. However, I did not like the increased "Dead" feeling, so I decided to make an adjustment in the opposite direction. The "Dead" feeling went away, but decel popping returned. I eventually decided to leave it at the manufacturers recommended setting. I've gotten so use to the "Dead" feeling during decel, it doesn't even bother me anymore. I've put 3,000 miles on the fuel pak since then and the scoot still runs and performs beautifully. As far as the "Dead" feeling being harmful to the engine, there is no evidence that this is the case. I hope this helps.
Please post your results after experimenting.

Thanks. Very helpul. I do have some poppoing on decel and it does go away when when the fuel shuts off. Sounds like if I increase 23 then I can expect popping for a bit longer.
My concern about the engine was that is shutting off the fuel not the equivalent of running super lean for a short period? Perhaps it doesn't matter because the engine is not under any load when the trottle is closed?

Imagine coasting downhill and switching the ignition off while still in gear. Doesn't last long and the fuel comes back smoothly though.
I just find it a bit distracting and disconcerting!

Hi All,
Does the fuel pack actually fit the Fat Bob? After hours in the garage and looking at the installation video mine will not fit under the ECU. It's half past midnight and I'm giving up.......for now.
Cheers,
Andy

Mode 23: up 16 ---> 17
down 16 ---> 15
I could tell a big difference when adjusting by just one value in either direction.

Hi Andy,
I believe it is made to mount on top of the ECU, not under it.
I find that if you trim the mounting screws (The ones for the Fuelpak mounting bracket to unit) it goes a bit smoother.

Alan.
It is just the way it is design to work, really it's not a issue.
Give it a bit of riding time, and you won't even notice it.
The fuelpak shunts the injectors on decel.

Thanks for the reply Jeffytune,
I've done it this morning, looking at the video again the space was not free below the ECU on my bike, a 3"x2" box of tricks (maybe the alarm) was in the way so I moved this and I got it fitted.
I've taken off the servo for the exhaust flap and removed the cable. I have also tack welded the flat open.
I used ref FP-2075
I'm running a HyperCharger, Rush Slip On's.
Thanks again,
Striker (Andy)
