ideas on thundermax map

I have been using thundermax with my build that has 1100 miles on it.

it is: 01 softail, 95" 10.5/1 weisco, baisley superstock heads, woods 7h cam, bc gerolamy 48mm reworked throttlebody, pro-pipe with 2 rows hose clamped.

Zippers told me to use the 475 map. It has a ping around 60% throttle at a decent roll on in 5 gear 60mph. I also have this surging problem at very light throttle at around 3500-4500 rpm in any gear. I am running one step colder plug also. It was 50 degrees here today and it still had pinging.

I am looking for ideas or suggestions. I dynoed this build and got 100/101 I feel there is more in it and hopefully I can get it to run better. I also get 37 mpg.

any ideas would be appreciated.... Just about to go back to a pc and get it dyno-tuned, but I figured I would give it another shot.

thanks, Powerlineman

sounds like your hp and tq are close to what you could expect.. Maybe a little more but not lots..
I found that the way that TMax chooses their maps for a particular build is not the best sometimes..
It didnt work for my build....

It has been a while since I figured out the sequence for picking a map... I will have to pull up the tmax page and see if I can remember the sequence...

but it made all the difference for my build..

thanks for the help, I don't mind the numbers that I got, the pinging and the surging is what really gets me. I has alot of power from 2500 all the way up though!
