I ran the PCV with auto tune for about a month. When I took it in for the 1K sevice, the mgr told me I voided my 7 year warranty. He then said I could (wink-wink) pull it all off and he would put the race tuner in and keep me in warranty.
Long story short, I ended up with a stage 1 d/l because his dyno was on the blink. There are only two HD dealers in town and both say any installed PC component voids the warranty, so I'm screwed. My PCV and Auto tune are setting in a box now
I guess i should have done some more homework first....
During the month they were installed, the bike ran perfect. Lots of power, no popping, 20 deg. cooler oil temps. BTW, this is on a 09 Night Train, 2.00 Rush mufflers, SE stage 1 air cleaner.
I checked the PCV every couple of days with the computer just to see what the auto tune was up to, it was keeping everything spot on. The original map was very close to begin with.
All in all I WAS very happy until the dealer ruined it. Now it pops on decel and STILL runs 225-250 deg.

I dont have the AT but I do have the PCV on my 06 FLHT...I dont know what difference there is installing the PCV on your bike but it took all of 5 minutes to install on mine...why not run the PCV and AT and remove them when taking the bike in for service etc?...

The PCV on mine was like yours, a quick 5 minute install. The AT is a little more involved, pulling O2 sensors, running the wires, etc.
I can't believe they didn't terminate the O2 sensors with some type of connector...those wires are small!!
It took me a couple of hours for the whole thing, but I pulled the tank to run the front sensor wires along with the factory harness.
I thought about doing the switch-er-roo on the hardware. BOTH dealers told me flat out they could "tell" if the PCV had been on the bike, therefore, voiding the warranty. I personally knew the service mgr that gave me the previous wink-wink, so I guess he "overlooked" the fact that I had it on the bike already. How does the PCV write anything to the ECU???? It's a piggyback system. Anyways, I'm sure it would raise some eyebrows if I rolled in with no ECU programming and running the A/C and mufflers.
Can't win for losin' here.....
Here's something funny, he told me PC stuff was junk, it'll fry the ECU, yada, yada. But he has a Dynojet dyno in his shop....
I happened to have a copy of the map on a thumb drive with me at the time and he totally refused to even LOOK at it. All I wanted was for him to take a peek because the bike was running so well.....go figure....so there they sit, in a box. I guess I need to sell or wait 7 years for the warranty to run out.

the dealers will all say that.. but there is no way for them to know what piggy back system was on your bike... and keep in mind there are maps that will work with the h-d downloads.. you said it yourself that your bike ran much better with the pcv.. i would put it back on and if you have any problems pull it off..

I just might put it back on. I hate to have 300 bucks doing nothing.
I'll give Jamie @ Fuelmoto a call tomorrow and see if I can get a map that will work with the HD stage 1 d/l.

Ask those 'scam artists' if they are familiar with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act...

I'm running the PC-V with auto tune on my 09 Road Glide. I bought the set up from Fuelmoto USA. They pre-installed the basic set up for my bike and used the auto tune to dial it in. Bike runs great.
The trick is getting a good base set up first.

Well, got mad at 600 bucks sitting in a box and I put my PCV and Autotune stuff back on. It's like a new bike, lots of power, no decel pop, lower exhaust note. I guess I'll pull it all back off if I have a warranty problem.
Anybody fool around with the autotune trim values? I can see what it's doing to the base map, but do I need to accept those values for it to actually use them? I can't find any info on this.
Also, anybody trying the "each cyl and each gear" options? Looks like you can bump the AFR up a touch for a gas sipping 6th gear cruise. Lots of options, but I don't want to mess anything up.
*edit*
I'd like to mess with the accel pump feature as well, anybody done this yet?
I'm very interested in learning how to use the Autotune to it's fullest extent and talking with anyone who has played with it.

If you have warranty problems find a different dealer. I had after market pipes, air cleaner, PCIII, cams. My dealer did my warranty work no problem.

Well, the two in town here are not PC friendly. Next closest is 120 miles away.
