Piggy Back Tuners Vs. Delphi Based Tuners

Any Thoughts on which is more effective?

I guess no one is answering because this has been hashed over so many times before.
The PCIII is a piggy back tuner, it works in two dimensions; Throttle position and RPM. The PCIII is a good tool and it will get your bike to run well as long as the map is made in the advanced mode (both front and rear cylinders tuned)
The TTS, SERT, and SEST are tools that open up communication between your bike and a computer and with the software provided with these tools changes can be made then sent to the ECM changing the tuning parameters. This is my opinion, even though the PCIII or PCV are good tools they are only two dementional like I stated earlier and the Delphi EFI is a three dimensional system. The SERT, TTS, and the SEST are a three dimensional tuning tool, these tools use Throttle position, RPM, and MAP (manifold absolute pressure) so there is no base left empty....ie...you get a much better tune for your bike using the three dimensions vs. the two dimensions in the PC unit.
The TTS is the best tuning tool out of the three listed ....in my opinion.....it has many more tuning features plus extra bonus items like a speedo calibrator and most of all a great support team.
Hope this helps a little
Doc

Doc has pretty much said it all and I agree 100%, I feel the power commander is a good unit when used as intended, on a milder build, for example, you raise your 96 inch build to 117 cubic inches, the tts/sert style tuners can deal with things like cranking fuel and warmup enrichment etc. while the PC only piggbacks over the ecms base settings and in my opinion falls short in comparison with the ecm reprogramming type tuners. For ease of use, the PC is great.
