M&M Fix

I have an 01 Ultra Classic with M&M EFI. Hate it. My idle is all over the place and just inconsistent. What is the best fix without needing a co-signer? I see thundermax has a complete swap out, but almost $2000. I am out on that.
Anyone have any better ideas?
Yhanks,
Bud

SAFXDL will become famous soon enough
You can find someone that actually knows how to set the cold and hot idle adjustments and get a PCIII (that's what I did)...or you can do a conversion to a carb which (if you do it yourself) should run about 700 bucks.

Good luck trying to get the MM to work consistent. I had problems and never could get it right. I converted to carb and wish I had done it years ago. To set the throttle check out this site http://www.metrohog.com/technical.htm Click here for carb conversion parts list http://www.head-quarters.com/html/efi_to_carb.html

MM TBs are limited, buy can and do work well, you just have to have the right person to work on them. if you are building the engine, there are better choices.

Good stuff. I like the Carb idea. I read in baggers magazine about converting the gas tank. May go that route. Thanks for the help. I am so frustrated with this EFI.

If you do the pingel gas tank conversion put the petcock in the back hole. It gives you more room for the fuel line and choke clearance.
