HD EFI-OBDI or OBDII?

I am a automotive insructor and teach EFI and have been working on them for many years. I'm wondering if HD efi is like OBDI or OBDII. Do they store freeze frame data when storing codes? Are they in constant diagnostics? Do they have monitors? Or do they just set a code when a sesor fails or goes out of parameter/ Just curious.

The serial bus it uses is J1850. I don't know if it can be read by a obd reader/scanner.

I know you can't use an automotive scanner on them, the connector is completly different. I was just wondering what system it resembles.
