103" w/Andrews 55, FatCat vs. 95" w/Woods TW6, Rinehart TD's
This is the comparison of my 06 Ultra. I plotted the original 95" set up that had Woods TW6 with Rineharts and the SE Performance Heads. The heads have had some serious rework with porting and a 1.95" intake/1.65 exhaust valve change. The intake was also bored to 50 mm and the exhaust changed to a standard Fat Cat.

How do you get rid of that infamous torque dip on the Fat Cats with standard baffle? My tuner was able to shift it slightly to the left and reduce the magnitude of it , but I see it an many dyno pics on this site and on other forums as well.

Nice. Lots of area under the curve. Classic example of that pipe (well tuned) on a bagger. I don't know that you can eliminate that dip. That's why it's "infamous" as you say. But really, can you feel the dip? The HP line does not appear as though the dip would be noticeable at all.
The dip is a result of the trade off for getting so much extra power right off idle. It's a good compromise I think.

Looks like you gained a bunch. The best method I have found to eliminate that dip is with the install of a Supertrapp Supermeg.

Of course I don't feel that dip as I'm ripping through 3-4K rather quickly, but my thought was that there may be a way to go go positive on the bump instead of this way...there may not be much more to gain out of this build anyway as I'm fairly pleased with the performance...just a random thought on the Fat Cat. BTW, as most of us know who have called D&D, the guy I spoke with was non-committal on going with the next size baffle on a 103 since that is kind of the in-between bore recommendation for taking the next step up. Would the larger QBaffle be an option or would I lose on the bottom?

Take a look at my 103 chart. I'm running a Low Cat with a quiet baffle (on a "B" motor), and I'm not seeing a dip.

The dip seems to be exclusive to the bagger.

The length from the valve to the collector is longer on the bagger pipe.

Ummm...OK Bruce, and your point would be? Or is this just another post of yours where you're gonna slag someone else's build?....

Well on other forums, they call me mister "cheap shot"
I'm just reading the dyno sheets as I see em... Who care about a dip if the net Tq is more more than someone else's..
