Smile Going in for a Dyno

Guys,

I have a 2009 Road King w/ HD Stage II SE 103 Big Bore kit (w/ 255 Cams etc.) SE Stage 1 Air cleaner, and a HD SE Super Tuner installed, and Reinhardt slip-ons.

Currently my bike has the Stage 1 ECM download installed. My local dealership ships it's bikes over to Gastonia HD in NC for their DYNO's, apparently they've got the latest equipment and their guy is good. (so I'm told).

Anyways, I know from this forum that I'm including a CD and have asked for a copy of my "custom tuned map" so i can have a copy if i ever need it.

Should I ask or say anything else? The plan is for me to drop it off at my local dealership and they will trailer it over to the other and get the job done within a day or to of me dropping the bike off.

Do i need to go over to Gastonia directly on the Dyno day and try and tell the tuner something or tell him to "take care of my bike and give me the extra special tune!" or is that just a waist of time?

suggestions or thoughts or would you do or say in my scenario?

thanks.

Not everyone that works at a dealer is an idiot. My advice would be to let the guy do what he does and ask for a copy of the map. If the tune sucks then pay attention to where the bike runs poorly and what you're getting for fuel mileage and give them an opportunity to correct it. It's possible they may have issues with their dyno they don't know about.

good advice
it just may have been a little cheaper to deal with the tuner direct.
Dealer techs can only tune as good as the owners will let them.
Most will only pay a couple hrs commission for a tune.
My buddy is a dealer tech just talked to him a few hours ago.He spent his day trying to get a SERT to remarry to a warrantied ecm In the end he couldn't get the sert to marry and the MOCO authorised him to install a SEST but wouldn't pay for the tune. so he tuned it for no commission 1 1/2 hrs commission for the day. To top it off on the test ride he picked up a nail in the rear tire so he changed a tire for no commission. What a day! LOL

I hate those days, lol. I really like the sest and the new version of it with smart tune looks like fun (haven't gotten to play with it yet) but I spend so much time screwing around trying to make it play nice with the computer that it just doesn't seem worth it sometimes.
