FXDL 07- What you think?I want to light up the tail of this bike . I have read many posts on this topic and many different ideas. I have just about decided to go with Harley -run,turn,stop mod. and forget the rest. Money is getting tight. I like the LED but it seems to lead to other needed equalizers,alarm issues,etc...All those extras add up $$$
Looking for strong opinions.

the stop-run-turn gizmo is a good thing, Kuryakyn cost me $79. Instead of a LED taillight you can get the layback taillight lens from Drag Specialties. It has a different pattern in the plastic and makes it appear brighter and gaudier.

I have thought about the LED taillight as well, but then I did the Harley run/stop/turn mod. I am happy with the results and have decided to spend that LED money elsewhere.

I have both on my bike and it makes a big difference in lighting up the back of the bike. I didn't need to add anything else to make them work. Several of my friends did the same thing after seeing mine.

Fred 1369,Thanks for the reply. If you think "gaudier" on the tail light ,I'll pass. Not the look I'm looking for. Thanks for your opinion.

I bought a Kuryakyn smoked LED tail light a while ago (brand new). Shortly after, my tail light started working intermittently. Eventually the tail light stopped working altogether. After examining, it turns out the wires snapped off the LED board completely. This was most likely due to the vibration the Dynas have.

Just a caution to ya. I think it's worth it to spend a bit more for a better quality item.

Get the Kuryakyn Panacea system for your Dyna. It uses the stoplight and turn signal as stop and running AND it has the "Back Off" option (flashes for 2 full seconds to get people's attention).

yes, that is what I have also. I forgot the name panacsea.
by gaudier, I meant that the plastic difraction grating almost makes it look like LED.
