Dyna Footboards

I'm sure this subject has probably been covered before but I am struggling to find footboards with brake and gearshift to fit my 2007 Dyna FXDC. Anyone have any ideas ??

I have looked for some customers that come in, both 06 and later and 05 and earlier and there is nothing out there in the major sector of the after market. The only thing I came across is floorboards for 05 and earlier from MOCO, which are obsolete...

Ask your Harley dealer to look in their Police accessory catalog. They installed floorboards for police Dynas.

Harley dealers are the only ones who have access to this catalog.

In the meantime, my buddy created his own floorboards using parts from JP Cycles. I will post pictures later.

The Police Parts Catalog and Police Model Service Manual Supplement are both available for sale from you local HD dealer. For a 2004 Police Dyna the parts catalog is p/n 99544-04 and the Police Service Supplement is p/n 99481-04. (Change the "-04" to your specific model year i.e. 2003 would be 99544-03 for a parts catalog.)

Not sure if HD made a Dyna "Defender" (Police Model) after 2005.

HD used to sell a floorboard kit but it has been discontinued. AFAIK all the parts are available but they must be ordered individually - that is how I ordered my floorboards in 2005.

With frame changes to 2006 and later Dyna perhaps earlier footboard attachment brackets could be modified/fabricated to fit.

As I promised, in my buddy's own words.....

Here is some info on boards for the Dyna. The boards are from JCWhitney,item#-cbu010306 (adj driver floorboards). The mounts are Harley p/n-50900-72ta (foot peg supports). Also equiv mounts are available from a local bike shop.I used 1"x1/4" flat stock for the base mount.About $140 for the parts,$10 to get the foot peg mounts welded onto the flat stock.
There are tabs on the Dyna frame that were used for Police models using floorboards that have what appear to be threaded holes,THEY ARE NOT THREADED..They take 3/8-16 self tapping screws with Allen heads that are available from H-D dealer..p/n-3214.

I tried using stock forward control foot peg mounts but even with all the adj parts the boards seemed too high and close to the crash bar. With these brackets the boards are lower and match up to stock pegs. One caution if you corner aggressively you might drag a board and the right side will only fold up a slight amount because of the exhaust.....
Another choice for boards would be to convert to Police style mounts, brake and shifter from H-D,,see Dyna Police parts manual 99544-03 at a Harley dealer. This much more expensive...

A set of floorboards are listed on Ebay right now.
Don't know if they will fit a 2007 FXDC.
Look under Harley Davidison FXDP floorboards.
Hope this helps,
Bill
