couple of issues
i have a streetbob 08 and i am having trouble locking the front
wheel. i just won't do it. at first i didn't have a problem w/ this.
the other thing issue is when riding only my left mirror shakes
at speeds of 30-50 so much so that the image behind me is totally blurred. this is the same side where i hear a strange buzzing when i apply the front brake (the left side).
i checked for any loose spots but didn't find any.
does anyone have advice?

No help on locking..
Mirror.. are there small screws on the backside of the mirror? if so they may be loose..SLIGHT adjustments might be in order.
Alternatively, I'd look HARD at the brakes for loose, cracked, damaged components. These vibrating may be related to the mirror, but I'd suspect that you'd feel it in your hands as well. You didn't mention this, so....??
Either way, an abnormal brake noise is a potential life safety issue.. Special attention required...

Mr Cujo, the "buzzing" may be the drilled rotors. Mine does the same thing.

Mine has the same buzzing noise, and it has had that noise since I picked up the bike from the dealer with 10 miles. When I took it in for its first service I had the dealer take a look at it, and they said there was nothing wrong with it. So I assume that the noise is normal or like Buffy said it could be the drilled rotors. Other than that I have not had any problems with the front brake.

While I don't have the vibration issue, my Deuce does have the buzz sound that comes from the front brake. I've never had a problem with the front brake. It stops just fine and is showing no unusual wear. So, it appears that it's just the nature of the beast. One of winters projects is a new chrome caliper, rotor, and Lydall pads. I'll see if the buzz goes away then.

Yep the buzz is normal just a drill rotor side affect as far as the fork lock and the viberartion I am worndering if the bike has ever fallen over if so they may be the cause of both those problems I would take the riser clamp off and inspect the bars closely it is posible if it has fallen over the bars are cracked or broken inside the risers this causing the servre viberation on one side also from the fall it could have tweaked the fork tubes in the triple clamps this causing the clamp not to turn far enough to allow you to lock it. just my thoughts

The vibration is part of owning a Dyna, and to many, part of the attraction. I installed a different style mirrors for looks and found they were affected far less by the vibration. The stems on the new mirrors were heavier, which I am sure helped.
The front fork lock may need adjusting and should be covered under warranty. I had trouble with mine getting it to lock. I didn't use it much so I didn't worry about it. I later relocated my ignition switch. When I did this, I loosened the fork lock from the frame to remove the wiring harness. While replacing the fork lock back in the frame, I was able to position it so it was MUCH easier to lock.
To do this, heat the trim ring around the lock with a heat gun to loosen the adhesive. Gently pry the trim ring (very easy to bend) to remove it. Behind the trim ring, you will find a retaining ring with two indentations. They make a specialty tool with two **** to grip these indentations and allow you to unscrew the retaining ring. I used a pair of needle nose pliers and was able to do the same thing. Loosen the lock (no need to completely remove) and play with its alignment. Tighten and re-adhere trim ring.

Ian there's no such thing as too loud when it comes to a Harley.
