Buell Inverted Forks

Does anyone have any info on swapping a Buell inverted front suspension onto a 03 dyna? Is this a bolt on deal or is there machining involved?
I really like the Storz Ceriani front suspensions but they are a bit out of my price range.

Thanks!

Buy a WP front end off an S2 as the forks are long enough to give you the correct ride height..What bike do you have and I will tell you what you need.

I have a regular 03 fxd, not the sport model. I wouldn't mind having a little more ground clearance than I currently have.

Thanks for the help!

Get the triple trees, forks, Brake caliper, and you will need to compare the mounting hole on the Buell rotor to your Harley rotor. We mounted the Buell wheel but if you want to keep your wheels, you may need a rotor adapter/spacer for your wheel, and a custom fender or fender mount made. You will have to drill the triple trees(two holes) for your risers. Your stock front axle is the same as the Buell axle and your master cylinder is the right size but you will need a brakeline. It should cost you between $350-1000 depending on what you have to get and if you are paying labor.

Is there any particular year and model I should be looking for? I know you mentioned the X2 model. Also, will my stock steering stops work with the Buell front end?

A 1995-96 model frontend of an S2 is what you need. You will have to measure and probably modify the stops but it is very easy to do.

It can wok but you have a 25mm axle and the earlier bike have a 3/4 inch axle. A bearing swap can fix that problem. You stock 49mm fok can be made to work well though and much better than every 39mm fork other than the cartridge fork on a few models.
