Yes, it's called a SERT.
Any adjustment made to the throttle body the computer will over ride, until you get to the point it will through a code.

It's not like a carbed bike, when the computer sees it's not where it is supposed to be it will adjust it automatically and then give you a fault code letting you know somethings wrong. That's why I got one of the last 05 carbed models so I could play with it.

06 and later bikes use a special 5 point security torx. You can search on line and find them. Unless you are having IAC related idle problems this adjustment usually is not necessary. If your IAC stepper counts have changed that usually means an intake leak or the stepper motor has gone bad. Do you have some specific symptoms?

There's no screw you should be adjusting for your idle.
EFI bikes don't work that way.

That's what I'm looking for. The screw vibrated out on my friends bike and shot the idle way up. I'm not trying to adjust the idle , I'm trying to fix it. I need to find the tool.

I bought an 8 piece set of tamperproof torx bits at Auto Zone for a few bucks. Don't remember what size it takes, but my set is T8 through T40 and one of them worked.

Ok, you will need to take it to the dealer as it is not just a "screw it back in" repair, you need to set the TPS voltage to the correct value.

Did that seem a little harsh? Sorry. Very bad couple days. My bike fell off the jack and put three dents in it and broke one mirror. It cold have been a lot worse but it still pisses me off. As far as bringing my bike to any lying thieving piece of you know what HD dealer, NO flippin way. The only time they get any of my money is if I absolutly have to get a part there.

Did the tie-down straps break?
Sorry about your bike. And I agree 100% about most dealers...same party line bullsh*t. All those guys must be taught the same line to keep from providing the service they should be.
