T-sport Bags

For those who have a T-Sport (FXDXT--01 to 03), I asked the dealer today and the bags are available. Each which is a set (no its not) or kit which means 1 bag left or right, $511 plus change and tax per side. I think for a while they were not available. Not a great price, but available if needed. I have been debating a damaged set and having a local shoe/luggage repair shop build a set from the metal frame & hard parts. But do it in dark blue canvas to match the bike. Maybe I should just buy a new bag (each a couple months apart while saving my pennys). I would guess they will not be available all the time, and I intend to hold onto this bike. The Cafe racer is bringing good money now and they could not give them away back years ago (like the less than 4500 T-Sports made between 01 and 03). Also, I understand the rain covers are individual and different/specific per side.

Anyhow, passing the info along if it interests anyone.

Thanks. I wasn't aware they had been discontinued.

I replaced one bag 3 years ago due to an accident (Hit & run late one night after the Super Bowl), so I was aware of the price point for the bags. I love the bags, and use them all the time. I keep the expansion zipper closed whenever possible, but I need them open to carry my laptop, plus rain gear and other stuff on 2+ day rides.

I refuse to pay $511 for ONE bag. If I can't get one fixed I will buy a pair of decent bags for the same price.

Try Fox Creek Leather. I bought my throw bags from them. They may have something a little cheaper for your model.

I've always liked the very functional design of those bags. Getting them at a dealer who discounts 20% will knock the price down by more than $100 per side.

Thanks, and you are right about the cost. But I like what the bike has turned into, and I like the original bags. I ordered one of these new in 02, and would spend at least that money replacing the bag someday. Really didn't make a difference as I went for the set on EBay. Guess its why there are 33 flavors of ice-cream. Besides, I needed to purchase myself a present as the health took another dump, so it gives me something to look toward. Ya know, like owning a future HD Cafe bike.

Yes I hear those voices..... but they are in American Union instead of metric,

Sorry, meant to attach this image again. This was shot last year near Knoxville Tenn. These are the bags for those just looking.
