Fatboy wheel for rear of '02 Dyna?

Sorry if this has been covered here, but I'm a newbie to the site and I had a question. What if any year(s) Fatboy rear wheel would fit the rear of an '02 Dyna Super Glide. I'd like to swap out the rear cast spoke wheel on it.

I don't know about '02, but I did it on my '00 FXD using a '00 FatBoy take-off rear wheel and bought a chrome Thunderstar for the front. At the same time I upgraded to a 150 size rear tire. At the time I was told that any softail wheel would go on a Dyna of the same year - although that may not be true now since tire sizes started increasing. My long term plan was to then get the rear disk chromed - but it never has happened. It is a great upgrade though, easier to keep clean, and since my international model came with spoke wheels, it also allowed me to go tubeless.

Thanks for the input. I have heard of certain years for Fatboy wheels that may have a n offset for a 150 tire clearing the belt, but mine has a 150 stock. I might try to find one of the years the 150 was stock on the Fatboy.

No problem with my 02 Wideglide. Clearance with the sprocket will be close but no issue.

You are most welcome. I have the Fatboy wheel on the rear of my 2002 Super Glide and a stock spoke wheel on the front. You might want to thing about doing that or perhaps put a ThunderStar on the front. Either makes for a nice looking ride.

I have a similar question - I bought a set of 09 take-offs from a Street Glide. Would they possibly fit my 01 Dyna FXDX Super Glide Sport?

I bought the chromed Harley Davidson Solid Fat Boy accessory wheel and had it installed before the bike was delivered. The part number was 41026-00. From the description in the 2002 catalog and the new catalog (2008), the present part number 41026-08 is the same wheel. Well not quite, it is now $140 more than it was in 2002.

Better check with your local parts guy.

I am in the process right now of not only putting a fatboy wheel on the rear but also putting one up front. I already bolted on a wide glide conversion. So to answer the question, yes, the fatboy rear wheel is a go!
