mine shakes a bit when I am sitting still, but that just how the engine in mounted into the frame on the Dyna's it doesn't bother me, but it depends on how much shake you are talking about. Maybe if it is really bothering you, you should bring it back to the dealership, and ask them about it. I am sure they will look at it and tell you without charging you anything (especially if it is the place you bought it from).

Road my first Fat Bob, an '08 last weekend a barely used one with 1500 miles...at idle or decelerating to a stop, the dang thing REALLY SHOOK, riding along at 20 mph and more, the earthquake subsided and the FatBob gave a really pleasant ride.
Rode an '09 CVO Fat Bob yesterday and didn't reallly notice much the low rpm shaking like the 96" had. The CVO didn't do ot for me tho, too blinged out for my taste and I wasn't impressed with the oomph from the 110" motor. I did not expect much real go power from the 96 incher, but was very pleased with it's ride and handling, and it seemed quite able to get out of itsownselfs way with enough low end torque.
Anywho, the Fat Bob sold itself to me ...pick up the beast later this week.

You can negate some of the shake at idle by staying off the front brake. If it smoothes out once you're underway then it's normal.

Watch your front wheel at a stop, it'll move 3/4" front to rear. Put your hand on the horn at idle. It's amazing that thing stays in the frame!

Shake

You think your 08 Fatbob shakes you should see my 06 FXDI3500 shake I have made a 131 out of it ballanced 10.5 comp the works and the fellow who commented the horn is a miracle that it stays in the frame is right, mine vibrates at idle, I will bet at times the front wheel seems to move at least an inch. it seems that the rubber m ounted engine without balancers lets it shake excessively but I wouldn't have it any other way. It goes like hell and as soon as the rpm are up there iss no more shake.
