Coming along nicely 55Chev-
I also belive that if no one makes what you need then make it yourself-
How many quarts of oil are you going to run for your passes?
That tank looks small-5 quarts tops....

I don't make what I can buy. On a race bike there are too many parts that have to be made as it is. If I could have found a tank that would have worked I would have bought it. I want this bike ready for the first week in April at Maxton. I hope to have a fairing done as well ... If not I run it naked.

I am considering redoing the rear half of the frame. It is a bit short and too wide for a partical streamliner. Anyone have any contacts that could do the mod's?

I'm not sure who to go to for the mod's to your frame. I have done a few in my shop, but I'm in the process of moving to a new shop, and there's no way to do a timley job.

One thing I would take a long look at thou; do you really want a hardtail to run at Bonneville?

Aaron Wilson ran a similar drag frame rigid at Bonneville and said that he didn't notice anything different from his S1. Scott Stites ran a Paughco rigid at Elmo and B'ville without an issue. The bumps at Maxton will be a bigger issue. Not sure about that one but I am willing to try it.

Fuel tank ... pretty easy to see why I waited for my son to do the welding instead of doing it myself.

I was busy all week and didn't get a chance to work on the bike until today. Having a job really gets in the way of building a race bike. A good friend happens to be a machinist and he made me 5/16 blind bungs to use for vibration isolation mounts. I bought the tank mounts for the oil and fuel tank from the Bung King.
