Headed to Bonneville
I am ready to load up the bike to head out to the Bonneville Salt Flats.
This bike already has the record in the Production Pushrod 2000cc class, but I fill like I left to much speed on the table last year because of the conditions(145.048 record) and then (150.27 at Texas Mile). I hear that the salt is in very good shape this year, so I hope I will be able to atleast run in High gear.
The bike is a 2007 CVO Dyna and looks like it did on the showroom flour, by rule thats required. However, the rules do say that any proformance enhancments have to be out of view, so I took them at their word on that part.
Also this year I have a proto type Baker Drivetrain 7 speed. I hope is that it will take care of the big RPM drop geting into high gear.
So come Saturday we'll be on the road with plans to check in the7th and run starting on the 8th through the 11th.

The SuperBike show was a good example of just how things are on the Salt. If I remember correctly he ran 124 MPH with his 180MPH street sport bike. I have to say I don't blame him, it was like running on ice with grooves.
Hopefully the Salt is as good this year as the folks are telling me.
We put our bike on the dyno last night and made one quick pull just to make sure things were right to do some tuning tonight. Wow; I can't wait till tonight, it pulled a very rough 152HP and 138 Tq. in full race trim. Usually we have to pull off the air filter and the baffles out of the pipes to get that kind of numbers.
I'll try to post some pictures.

OEM- Crankcase, Cylinders, heads and Throttle body; by rule
The rules say “any performance enhancement has to be out of view”. So what they can’t see is OK to do, and so I did.
