103, Big Boyz Heads, TW 6-6 Cams, TMAT
OK, not the most impressive numbers, but look at the torque those little Wood cams build! Over 100 FPT from 2,400 to over 4,600 RPM. This is a mild build, parts are listed in my signature. TB is stock and so are pipes except with Rush slip-ons with the left side restricted with a 3/4 inch washer. The difference between the first and last runs demonstrates how much a little timing change can effect performance. In this case we took two degrees away from it in the middle. Thanks Bean!, for a great set of heads at a reasonable price. So, what do you think good 2-1 exhaust would do for it?

Maybe a little more tuning time with what you have but with those cams and stock TB, save your $$ on buying more pipes.

Gee Bob, do I detect a little sarcasm there? It was ALREADY tuned when I got there. The all-gear pull shows the AFR is dead on, and the only thing we did was take a little timing out, like I stated. This isn't a SERT where you have to make 20 or 30 pulls to get it tuned right. The point of the post is to show how good the cams are, not my tuning capability. Thank you. And thank you other guys for your comments, I think you are right on about the exhaust recommendations. I don't expect jaw dropping numbers from a build this mild, dependability and good fuel mileage were the aim.

D&D Fatcat 2-1 with quiet baffle............my preferred exhaust system.
I have pretty much this same build only at 95" and it's great. Torque comes on early and the power stays on late..........I'm very happy with it.
I'm using the DTT auto-tune system, and with no tuning on my behalf it's running great and very strong.

Thanks Maine, I know your bikes runs real good, I've been following as you have tried about every cam and exhaust in the book! I just can't get used to the look of that big fat Fat Cat hanging off the side, though.
04GLIDE: How do you like your RB LSR on your bagger? What's the noise level like at cruising? I had one on my '91 evo Softail, and I didn't find it too noisy at all, but I hear terrible stories from bagger owners. Mybe they are just too used to the quieter bikes with fairings and all?

I love the RB pipe. It is only real loud when Im getting on it. On the freeway it's quiet. I love the sound of the pipe. Very throaty deep tone to it. I was running true duals with bassani slip-ons before. The wife say this pipe is much easier on her ears. She is back there right next to it most of the time. I regained alot of torque when I switched over to the RB pipe also.

great looking bagger graph. i noticed the TMAT. its probably showing 13.2 afr flat line.
great way to get a nice highway tune with the TMAT, get timing straight and let the autotune get you to your desired afr. easy, efective.
you will notice a little better butt-meter after some miles. since you corrected timing, there are areas that TMAT will adjust fuel again.
also note------stock pipes, big torque line flat across. you may pick up some hp with true duals, you may pick up tq with 2-1, but you have a solid 103 that i bet runs really cool and you dont have to take it anywhere else----just ride!!
**************** disclaimer, yep, a good dyno man wih good software could tune in a couple hp/tq.

I get a lot of compliments on the Fatcat, a lot of people have never seen it around here so they are always asking what it is and how cool it looks on there.
They make a ghost pipe for it too, that way you can have the 2 pipes out the rear for looks, and the great performance of the 2-1 system.

Thanks again everyone, for your comments and input. Clyde: I am running 13.5 AFR in most RPM vs TBS positions except above 3,000 at 60 + TPS degrees I slope down to 12.9 for WOT performance, and 14.2 at light throttle cruise RPM's. Yes, the TMAT does a real good job of highway tuning and I get 44.5 MPG overall on 89 octane fuel. I only need to run premium when riding below 1,500 foot elevations in hot weather. And yes, it does run cool. I've never seen oil temp's over 225 in the hottest conditions with stop an go traffic. I do love this TMAT!

Nice numbers MTNMOTORRIDER. Did you have to enlarge the valve reliefs in your flat tops for the bigger intake valves? Thanks

Yeah, I just caught that too. I MENT to say "Clay", not Clyde! Sorry!!
Renagade: Yes, I did deepen and widen the intake relieves on the pistons just to make sure. With the zero piston deck height and larger valves, it would have been pretty close.
