AMS 96" BB, Andrews 26G, Bassani Tru-Duals, Rush 2.5" (now 2.0")
I just got my bike dynoed at Devil Dawg Custom Cycles in Chantilly, VA. Build is in my sig.
The tuner (Will) told/showed me my clutch was slipping, so I am going to get new friction plates and maybe an AIM 84T VPC.
I also ordered some 2.0" baffles to improve the low-end torque.

A Fatcat will fix that low-end torque problem better then 2" baffles will...
But, the 2" baffles will help out for sure.

But I like the sound of the pipes, so I think I will hold on to them for a while before thinking about replacing them.
I am pleased with the bike's performance and I have not had an occasion to think "wish I had done the 2 into 1 instead". The baffles just seem to be a very simple tweak.

D&D 2-1 standard baffle exhaust
This is my opinion only.I had a 2-1 fatcat with the standard baffle on an 07 fatboy.Seat of the pants was ok,fit and finish was fine. The sound of the pipe with the standard baffle sucks! No deep Harley rumble at all.Went back to a
2-1 thunderheader and loving it!!!!Granted the finish on the t-header is not the greatest but that deep Harley rumble and seat of the pants pull is there.
Again,my opinion only. Peace and Prayers to all.

Doc,
The tuner showed it to me on some other runs/graphs. The one I heard was around 3200 rpm. I am not sure what gear. He told me I could check for clutch slippage by trying to do a "racing start" from a stand-still in 3rd gear. He said bike should stall. If it didn't he said the clutch was slipping.
What do you suggest?
Also, outside not having a good performing 2 into 1 exhaust and not having the 2.0" baffles yet, what do you think of the tune?
Lastly, I did the entire BB install myself. I was waiting for the engine to blow up during the tune, but everything seemed to go well.
Thanks!!

Nice numbers, but I'd like to see the torque start a lot earlier....I agreed that the 2" baffles will help
What CR do you have? 9.5?
I assume you are using the AMS heads also? w/stock valves?

Yup, Steve said about 9.5:1. They are the AMS heads with stock valves.
Might you have a dyno graph or WinPEP file of your setup?

Sure....
I like my torque curve, but peak numbers suck....still trying to figure it out since the bike runs great

I just installed the 2.0" baffles. Seat of the pants dyno, off idle, seems much improved. I will get a new pull after I do my next service in about a month.
Is it recommended that I also get a new tune with just a baffle change?

Doc,
I talked to the tuner today. He said the clutch was only slipping under a heavy load. He said I probably would not experience it riding around normally.

Shrty,
You are more than welcome. I will probably see Will again next week, after I fix my transmission seal leak. I am also going to install the SE clutch diaphragm and the reduced effort clutch ramps. I also now have the 2.0" baffles in the Rush mufflers.
Good luck!

Did you ever have the tune rechecked? With the smaller baffles it most likely will scavange better lower and could then be lean in the low rpms and may be rich on the top end.
