Friend ran 11.3

Last night a friend of mine that weighes 190 pound was given a stock V-Rod that had tunners kit dealer gave it to him to try at the track, ran 11.3's with low 1.7 60's, i know nothing much about v-rod models but this one has mid controls. he is going to try for 10's on that stock v-rod. i have seen one do 10's stock but had the tunners kit the guy was lighter than my friend and was doing high 1.5 60's no wheelie bars or slicks just stock road going.
just thought i'd post this, but these guys have experience drag racing bikes, someone else would get on these bikes and run 12's trying hard it's not easy, but just showing can be done if you know how to use the power they have there.

I agree Gordon, Darren has been doing some great riding! he has a guy that is knowledgeable with the V-Rods and race tuners kit, but not sure what HP it was making, but they said they will program gas cut out to allow wide open clutchless shifts also think they might be going to use the destroyer clutch as would make it easier to dial in there rev launch i would think. Darren has been racing his destroyer but the dealer that sponsors him is doing engine maintainace i think so gave him this bike to try, and dealer was excited with his times on that bike.

Haven't heard a lot from you lately, season over down there?

I'm looking to get out a bit more this summer - got to work on launches, feathering the clutch, keeping the front down. Was pretty consistent high 11s last time out, but a lot of wheelies and lost time first 60'. Miss your tutorials!

Gordon, for the limited amount of time you get at the track you are outstanding!!
does not matter what i tell anyone, will not always help them as everyone uses different styles with street bikes.

i like the track as i learn what works and what does not work, just look at time ticket. with street class you still have to ride like you would off the lights racing friends but at the track it's controlled and a much safer environment and great fun. just you see a lot of guys that show off there dyno #'s at a bike shop or were ever and say how fast there bike is, and they come to track only to watch. as you have a lot of people in the stands that can see if your bike is fast or not, talk is cheap.
cheers
