J&M 7.25" Speaker Install Pics...
We received our first shipment of the J&M 7.25" speakers yesterday and we installed the first set on a 2009 Street Glide. We can honestly say that these new speakers are the real deal. You get speakers that allow you to clearly hear vocals, acoustics, instruments, lows, mids, highs and bass. Bass is what is missing from other aftermarket speakers we have tested and the depth of sound you get with these speakers is simply amazing. The volume is there without distortion or any crackling. When we say the volume is there, we mean LOUD, deep, rich sound that you can't imagine until you actually hear them in action.
We invite our local forum members to visit our showroom for a demo on an 09 Street Glide. You can also bring in your favorite CD, so you can hear the type of music you like being played through these new speakers. Once you hear them, you will see what all the hype is about.
When compared with the stock sized speakers or other aftermarket 5.25" speakers, they look extremely tiny.
We do have a 32 watt amp connected to the J&M speakers as you can see from the photos which do give it an extra kick, but even without the amp, it has more than enough volume at highway speeds.
Installation was not difficult at all. It took us all of 30 minutes to compete.
Let us know if you have a question or if you would like to get a set.
Thanks!
Shawn

We don't have a comparison test between the two, but I can say the Titan 6.5" speakers are awesome speakers as well, but when you go bigger like with the J&M 7.25" speakers, you are able to push more air and get bigger, richer sound levels that you can really hear and feel.
We carry the Biketronics, Hogtunes and the J&Ms and from what I have heard so far, the J&M 7.25" kick ass!

7.25 speakers
Dr.,
Do you have a package deal for the speakers and an amp? If so how much, if not, what would the cost be for everything? Also do you think there would be a need for the tweeter bar if these sound as good as you stated.
Thanks,
John

As of May of this year, Hogtunes no longer sells their amp by itself. We can offer you a Biketronics or Hawg Wired amp. Both Biketronics and Hawg Wired amps run around: $475.00 for the amps by themselves, but the Biketronics and Hawg Wired amps both pack a good amount of power and way more than the Hogtunes amp which only puts out 32w max.
The tweeter pod is a great addition to any sound setup. The tweeter pod adds more volume and enhances the instruments, vocals and overall sound you get out of the J&M 7.25" speakers. Together, the sound quality is extremely clear and rich.
You can always add the Hogtunes tweeter pod after you install the J&M speakers. The bike pictured already had the Hogtunes amp and the Hogtunes tweeter pod when we swapped the Hogtunes Gen II speakers for the new J&M speakers, so we couldn't really remove the amp or the tweeter pod. They all work great together.
You can do it in stages. First install the J&M speakers, then you can add the tweeter pod and then an amp if you choose. This way you can install the J&M speakers and see if you really even need the tweeter pod or an amp.
Thanks!
Shawn

Ordered and waiting
I ordered the speakers last week, should be here tomorrow. I will be putting them in as soon as I can. Will be doing an ironbutt on Friday. Should be a good test for the speakers. I will post my impressions when I get back from the ride.
Till then,
Ride Safe

Shawn was out so I spoke with Al and Mike, ordered mine and look forward to getting them in. I currently have the hog tunes but wanted a little more bass. Now I can sell the hogtunes to someone with stock and we will both be happy.

Wow !!! Oh Wow !!!
Man I can't believe this is my bike that I am hearing. Rolling along at 70 mph and it sounds unbelievable! I do not have an amp, but as Shawn said, I tried it and I LIKE IT !Maybe later when "I want my ears to bleed" I will get the amp. But for right now I feel like a pig in a new found batch of mud.
If you got any doubts, don't. These things rock !
Thanks Dr. V-Twin for the great deal and outstanding help on the phone. Everything was just as you said it was.
ps. Like the t-shirt .
John

The Dr. Rocks
I received them today "Saturday" wow, fast shipment and customer service like you should expect but rarely receive. Shawn thanks for the outstanding service. Pulled the hogunes and replaced with these for the bass. Even removed the amp I had and moved the sirius antenne in less than an hour. Smooth I stall and all the parts fit wonderful. Sound is fantastic, have not rode yet "raining here" but have no doubt the sound will rock.
Thanks again, and the shirt is cool.

Rode about 200 miles on Sunday
Speakers work great, maybe I had them a little too loud but no problem hearing the speakers at 80+.
Thanks again.
