We would advise waiting for the J&M amp to be released. J&M will be releasing their own amp in a couple months. The Hogtunes amp is a low wattage amp and won't really show off the J&M 7.25" speaker potential. It is kind of a waste to run the Hogtunes amp with the J&M 7.25" speakers. We tried it and it really didn't do much. It's like having a slightly higher powered headunit which really won't do much in terms of giving you higher volume levels. The Hogtunes amp is 32 watts which is really nothing. 90% of Harley owners that have purchased these new J&M speakers from us have reported no need for an amp, so you may be better off trying the speakers by themselves to determine if you really need an amp. If you decide that you need an amp, J&M should have power specs of their amp released to us within the next month or so.
The front and rear speakers are different. Every speaker manufacturer has a different front and rear speaker. The rear speakers are much lighter in weight over the fronts.
We are offering a package deal which consists of the J&M 7.25" front speakers and J&M's new generation rear 5.25" speakers (which are better than every other speaker we have tested so far) at: $349.95 shipped! We have them in stock and ready to ship out. Just call us to place the order and we will ship them out the same day your call in your order. The front and rear speakers retail at: $470.00.
With the J&M 7.25" speakers, they come with their own speaker grilles that have two tweeters built-in to them. You can attempt to mount your chrome trim rings as others have successfully done so, but make sure to mount them snugly as you want to make sure the vibration from the speakers doesn't rattle them loose.
