Bayside HD Portsmith VA
Been looking at getting a new bike, not sure what yet. still torn between a Evo and a new bike. well I walked into bayside yesterday just to get some prices. well to start off their salesmen are alot friendlier than hampton roads HD. but thier prices are still "stealer"
here is a quote of a few bikes. all 03....
wide glide $17,700
heritage softail $18,300
road king $18,300
1200C $10,100
Dyna low rider $17,300
softail standard $16,000
that is just a few that I remember.
BTW that is just the bike
there is still $699 freight/setup, that I was told was a very good deal on frieght/setup. it's funny that looking at the HD web site it's only $215 freight. so I have almost $500 setup?????
right........I'll take my buisness elsewere.

straight black, don't know if it had an alarm or not.
why your not thinking of giving them a call? there are a ton of dealers in PA that sell MSRP. try Electric city in scranton pa they sell at MSRP.

BTD - Bayside is where I bought my FLHTI...they told me straight up that they sell at $1K over MSRP. And yep, $699 to take the thing out of the box and assemble it, plus the $250 "processing" fee. Geeeesh!! But they move a LOT of bikes and obviously don't have a problem getting all those extra $$.
I was lucky in that they had my scoot on the floor....$16,600 --- combined with the above fees, tax & extended warranty, approx $19,500 out the door.
Sales staff is OK except for one guy --- if you change your mind and want to buy one from them, PM me and I'll info ya.
On another note, are you planning on riding in the multi-dealership-sponsored poker run on Saturday 7/12? Free to local HOG mbrs....includes a cookout/party at Sleepy Hole Park in Suffolk afterwards.

thanks for the info.
first off nope, not going on that ride, didn't even know about. (been bad this year about rides) I'm going to Wilson NC for the easyrider rodeo, leaving fri early.
plus I don't do HOG (not a member) rides.....not here at least.......if I don't like the dealer (and I don't like any of the three in our area) I won't support them.
there's a $250 fee? didn't know that. total BS.
Sorry I rather drive 450 miles to Electric city, pay MSRP+$500 freight/setup + whatever warrenty is.
than spend an extra
$199 for freight/setup
$250 BS fee
$1000 above MSRP
BTW uncle sam has taken my choice away on where I will be buying a bike. got orders for Germany two days ago, leave sometime in dec. so I will be buying a bike through AAFES. at MSRP when I get over there.

I've heard good stories about folks spending less on vehicles bought thru AAFES overseas. Best of luck to ya while yer over there -- enjoy the rides thru the country, I've heard it's gorgeous. I've seen travel documentaries about Switzerland too....awesome scenery.

I spent all of the '80's in Germany, shipped over a GoldWing, rode that for a year, bought a BMW K bike tourer (debated getting a Harley thru AAFES, didn't, WRONG decision, but that's a whole different story). Had the time of my life touring Europe on bike; wherever you are stationed in Germany, you will get to know the local back roads--I will bet they will become some of your favorites. Word of caution though, farm implements use these roads a lot and often spill manure on the road ways, slippery stuff when fresh. I can remember the aroma well! Enjoy!

Yeah, Here in Virginia Beach we have Southside HD that charges 2,000 over MSRP and Bayside that charges 1,000 over MSRP. So if you stay in the area Bayside is cheaper. I searched the net and found Colonial HD. Colonial is south of Richmond on I-295. It is a nice 1 and a half hour drive up RT 460. Called Rob on the phone and got a Sliver/Black FLHRCI with a gold key package for what Southside was charging for a standard Road King. I hated not buying local but $2000 is still a lot of money to me.
And UHaul on Airline BLVD has real nice motorcycle trailers for about $16.00 a day.
Bayside has the friendliest people that will actually talk to you and wait on you. I buy my parts and have my service done at Bayside.
