Memphis Shades customer service

My son has a Memphis Shades windshield he uses for road trips. Before our trip back in July we realized he was missing a small pc of the mounting hardware, a stepped aluminum mounting bushing and the stainless mounting allen head bolt. I went to the local indy shop because I knew they had a Memphis Shades hardware box. MS requires their dealers to maintain the replacement hardware to offer to customers at no charge when needed. And the way I understand it, MS supplies the dealers at no charge.

Anyway, the Indy shop is owned by a husband and wife. The husband died back in November and Jan is running the business now. When I went in for the hardware she could not find where Ken had put the hardware box last. I can tell she has a lot on her trying to run the business so I told her not to worry about it.

I sent MS an email describing what I needed. A few days later it shows up in the mail, no charge. Inside the package was a note saying that the hardware was sent out quickly, at no charge, to get the customer back on the road and thanks for your business. Then is said that if you feel paying is the right thing to do to please send a check to MS made out to the St Jude Children's Research Hospital.

I put my check for $25 in the mail today. I think MS has the right idea about how to run a company.

I on my second windshield from them. I went back to a taller one. They have quality products as far as I'm concerned.

A friend of mine had one a couple years old on a wide glide and it became cloudy for some reason. He never cleaned it with anything but mild detergent and water and never applied any "treatments" or sealants. He approached a MS rep that was in Sturgis and they replaced it without hesitation. great customer service.
