Post Accident Care New Bern H-D

I was sitting still on my bike on a two lane waiting to turn on the road to my shop Wednesday am and cage rear-ended me running 45 to 50 mph. Let me just say that Rocker took one hell of a shot and it is built like a tank. I walked out of the hospital after 4 hours with a broken thumb, slight fracture in my right shoulder, road rash on my right elbow and a sore right ankle; today I am still sore all over. I was laying in the road and told the cop to take my bike to New Bern H-D. My bike did not fair so well but I know my dealer (New Bern H-D) can make her new again. I was hot and cold about the bike after I first bought it, but my dealer and the great people there helped me customize it to where I love it. It's only been a week since my accident but they have called several times to check on my condition because they truly care. I am very fortunate to live in New Bern NC home of the best H-D dealer I know of. Thanks Kathy, Milt, Cheryl, Kevin, John, and my main man Jim in parts.

that's amazing, a fast and full recovery to you. ditto on the don't sign anything, unless it's the endorsement line on the back of a generous settlement check.

Thanks to all who replied. I appreciate the good wishes. When I made the post my reasoning was to get the message across to always watch your surroundings. I was in first gear and ready to make a move. I now realize just how important that is. Thanks again for your thoughts and well wishes and don't let what happened to me happen to you! Can't wait to be able to enjoy the ride again, hopefully soon but I can wait!!!!

We are both healing nicely. I'm about 95 percent and the bike paint work is complete and assembly should be complete late next week. If all goes well I'll be back on the road next weekend!!!!! I went ahead and did the Heartland Rocker Conversion on it and I am very pleased with their quality....Tired of riding in a cage.
