Took my RK in

Took my RK in 5/20/09 for handlebars to be installed and for them to check the rear tire for balance.
Had to order the bars and they were in two days later.
Today is 6/12/09 and still waiting on bike. I have called several times and given a different excuse each time. cables too short, ordered new ones, cables not in, wires cut too short by previous bar changer(they were shocked when they were told they changed them)and had to splice wires. Raining and unable to road test tire. I have a road trip scheduled for 6/21/09 for a week and told them that as well last time I talked to them. As of today no bike and waiting on cables .
I will post the dealer name when I get the bike and see what the damage is and the final excuses are.
Am I getting worked up over nothing or do I have a legitimate complaint ?
What are your suggestions ?
Thanks,

Got bike yesterday6/18.
Was given a 10 % discount on parts and they claimed to knock 4 hours off labor. Found nothing wrong with tire but vibration is now gone, possibly belt tension or alignment on belt. No charge for tire balance.
Total bill was 903.00 seemed very high to me but you pay and be on your way. They just lost a loyal customer though.

In m 35 years riding all types of bikes, I've never had to have a rear wheel balanced. Go to the stealer and kick up a fuss, Jeez, all this time to change handlebars! Totally unacceptable.

Have you been down there? I have dealt with these guys before and had pleasant experiences. Maybe they have some new folks that suck, its been a few years since I have been there but they used to be good. I would personally go and let them know i want my damn bike. Hell my dad used to date the owners daughter, but Im pretty sure he is dead now.

Some excuses are valid...I would go visit your bike though.

And be there when the bars/clamps are tightened up, so you can have them set where you want them.
