Hillside cycles
When my crank shifted, it couldnt have happened at a worse time, as my wife was looking at back sergury and the insurance was only paying some of the expense, on other bills, the insurance said we had reached our maximum benefits, so in a nutshell, we were broke and still had more doctor bills coming in the mail.
i have a buddy that is a machinist and i was going to get him to bore my cases to fit the jugs randy had prepped for me.
called Scott Palmer at Hillside Cycle to get the specs to give the machinist. Scott gave me those specs, a two stage cut of different diameters and depths. then, Scott said "hey , just send those cases to me and we will make sure they are bored correctly, the centerbolt is tricky ahd you dont need any more to worry about right now."
so i boxed em up and shipped. Scott did the expected work, but went above and beyond, cleaned and blasted the cases, checked surfaces for correct flatness, installed two lefty bearings and returned. he also tossed in one of the new Hillside Cycle green air filters for me to test!!
Scott is always busy and one of his employees had an injury that slowed him down some, so this was not the best time, but he still got the work done, cut no corners, and shipped in a timely manner.
A great builder as everyone will attest, but what lots of folks dont know is that big yankee has a heart and is the kind of guy that makes the difference. some just throw some parts together, or cut corners to hurry and get paid for a job, but not Scott. Hillside Cycles goes the extra step on every customer, whether its custom engine builds for Sumax, Land Speed Record setting bikes, or a nobody like me. its always the same approach, proffesionalism that keeps him recognised as one of the top builders in the world.
thanks BRO!

for those that dont know, the french canadian became cajun. trough slang (yall know how we shorten words) so canadian became cajun through laziness of speech. canada had lots of prisoners and exiled them. the exiled french canadian trekked down the east coast and landed in georgia for a short while (where my great grandad killed a guy) and then kept traveling until the settled in louisiana. remember your history, the louisiana territory was the largest state in the union and the US bought it from the french, who had already settled it. it was plentiful with food and the injuns were friendly. so it took little effort to survive. the french canadians married indians and a new American was born. the coonass.

guys, my bottom end is built, and i have the stuff to assemble the top. thanks to Randy at Hyperformance for pistons, cylinder work, going to the post office to get my center bolt to my in two days.
yall know, Scott at Hillside tried and tried to cure my heads, but i was broke still, so he kept insisting. we never once discussed how much---his big ol heart and passion to make certain my motor was right was his motovation. i just couldnt allow that expensive a favor and im out of bartering material.
they say its the thought that counts, well, that was a heck of a thought!!!!
scott ad randy will be building motors together in heaven!!!!!
wifey goes to doctor this morning and this afternoon i have to finish a customers bagger.
but i will have the weekend to bust off ol betsy.
a cretain place that manufactors these big jugs was supposed to send me an email for the last couple days with the timing graphed.
i need that info before firing the motor. CHAZ, i wont call your name, but if i dont get that info before yall close for the weekend, im gonna shove a wristpin up your nose.
