Dr. V-Twin
Duplicate thread title, I know, but they deserve a couple of them.
Back in January, thanks to another forum member I traded a pair of gloves that didn't fit me for a pair of black Ness mirrors. I got to thinking that I really ought to dechrome my bike and get it as black as I could. After looking at a bunch of other Trains, I started PMing people to find out where they go their stuff. I was referred to Dr. V-Twin, and asked them what they had in the way of black turn signals. After a few more PMs, they hooked me up with a black set of Badlands fronts and Alloy Art rears, as well as a load equalizer. Great pricing, and I had the stuff quickly. Unfortunately......
I asked about some black spoked wheels (since, you know, I needed new tires anyway). They patiently went through me changing my mind about a couple of things, and also hooked me up with a new front fender (since I was going with a wider front tire). Bottom line, I got new wheels with new tires mounted and balanced on them, and with new bearings in them delivered to my door quickly. But then.....
I had this crazy idea of getting rid of my chrome pipes. The guys got me a price on a pipe that they don't show on their website. I ended up getting it from the guy who's doing the TTS and dyno tuning for me, but I did get (quickly and cheaply) a Doherty air cleaner. Which was great, however....
The chrome shifter and rear brake are bugging the crap outta me, so they're currently working on a set of black forward controls for me. I'll probably order them tomorrow.
Well anyway, I ran into an issue with the Alloy Art turn signals. After one 3 minute phone call, they're sending me out a new set, I just need to send back my bad one.
Let me make this clear..... I'm a salesman, so I'm a picky SOB when it comes to customer service; it's what salespeople and companies live and die by. Al and everyone else at Dr. V-Twin get it. Every communication (and I'm talking a handfull of phone calls and probably 100 PMs) has been professional, and they've routinely gone above and beyond. They're not interested in sounding like bad-assed bikers, they're looking to get people what they need. I rarely get back to the L.A. area (I'm from there), but I'll make sure I make time for a trip to their shop next time I'm there to drop off a cooler of beer and to shake everyone's hand.
Oh, and to the forum member who traded me the gloves for the mirrors.....Thanks a lot! Those were the most expensive mirrors I've never paid for!
