Angelo Cycle Works-Poor Service
Four of us on trip to Ruidoso from San Antonio when one rider had flats on both tires outside of Sonora, Texas. We limped back into Sonora and after started trying to contact dealerships for help. Found out about an independent in San Angelo called Angelo Cycle Works.
Called the owner and asked if he had tires and tubes for a 2002 Road King and he said he did. We asked if he had pickup capability and he did not which was understandable. We asked if he could change the tires and tubes if we could get there on our own (hire wrecker) and he said he had personal business he had to take care of and he could not help us.
Since we had two good wrenches with us, we asked if we could buy the tires and tubes from him at his shop and use his tire irons and compressor to change the tires out.
He said HE DOES NOT LOAN OUT HIS TOOLS!!!
I explained that we are coming to his shop via wrecker, am buying his tires and tubes at his prices, he is not willing change them for use (even though he is a full service shop according to him) and he wont even let us use his hand tools to change them in front of his shop.
Bottom line is this guy wasn't willing to work with us under any circumstances even though we were buying his products at his shop.
We then called Harley Davidson of Big Spring (150 miles away) and Robert and his wife said they had the tires, tubes and that they would come and trailer us back to their shop.
They came and picked us up, trailered the bike back to their shop, changed both tires and tubes (That Night!) and got us back on the road.
I am posting another post about this later.
