Thumbs up ACC Helmets

I've had an ACC non-DOT helmet for about a year and a half. The foam "sizing" pads started to separate from the securing velcro probably from sweat, age etc. I emailed them about purchasing some replacements and Erin emailed me back in an hour or so stating replacements were on the way...free of charge! Now that's customer service and a company that stands behind their product, I would have considered the pads as wear items and didn't expect free replacements. A great product plus great customer service is a rarity these days.

Wow, NON DOT and they did that? Can I ask how much the helmet costs? I always used to figure getting a year or two out of the beanies and just buying another one at a swap meet for $20.

Good to know though...

The non-DOT cost right around $100. It's not your typical novelty beanie though, constructed with real carbon fiber and reinforced with Kevlar and padded with ensolite...quality construction. Their DOT model is basically the same with a slightly larger bucket and more of the ensolite padding.
