B & B Harley Davidson
....few days ago I was enjoying a ride to Somerset, PA from Charlotte, NC. The ride into the mountains was proceeding well! 60 miles shy of Nutter Fort, WV I noticed my volt gauge had drop from about 14.5 to about 12.5.......and continuing to drop.
My partner and I made a stop about 42-45 miles outside of Nutter Fort to discuss and come up with a plan. After checking the "official" HD Touring Handbook, we found that B&B was just up the road. I made a mad dash (pleasing doing 95-100 mph in the slow sweeping mountain curves) to find a small HD Shop/Dealer that was very busy with the locals.
The Owner was at the parts counter helping a customer as I walked in and waited to speak with him. I explained my problem and the fact that I was just passing through. He checked to see if parts were on hand, no stator in stock. The dealer in Morgantown had one, he stated if my partner went to get it (another 50 miles or so) he would bump jobs and get me back on the road. Done deal!
They immediately started charging the battery and tearing the bike apart. When my partner returned, they dropped everything and put it back together, tested it, and put me back on the road.
These guys are the real deal in my book! None of the general botique attitude. These guys still operate a HD Shop.
Many thanks to Phil (the mechanic), Sam and DeloresTerango (Owners) and their Son!

Fun is a good thing, whining sucks!
