I bent the support bracket so i could drill a new hole on the front side of the spring and used some spacers to help pad out some more and yes they now look like they belong there . You are aware that nothing is suppose to fit right from after market on the early fxr's. The 704 bags where not made for this bike but they look good . they sit level and straight. I never liked the small turnsignals or the tag mount for them and do have sideplates for sissy bar so i drilled in the rear just under bar mount and placed my tail lights there. They sit higher and out of the way there.and drilled to 3/16 holes in front and high on the fender for the wires to go threw with graments to seal the holes. I did lower the bags with a piece of scrap leather from a shoe & saddle store to extend the cross piece 2 inches. cost 2 bucks. I pick mine up ,only live a 11/2 hrs away so i got them at a reduced price, 110 buck, cost of shipping would be included. Good fit and finish for a price twice as much . I'm a cheap ass any how. These measure 161/2 by 131/2 by 7 . and have the sane clip locks like hd use's not the leather buckle and a pouch inside each one. There bolt on's are nice ,i should have bought them but will take a bit more work to make them work on these old forgot'n bikes ,oh if it was atleast a 88 then i could buy more crap. ooohhh well In your words Who the phuck cares cares if it's on a fxr?? ME

Nice set up. The lines of the bags flow well with the bike and exhaust. Good looking ride there.

I think I would be replacing that rear tire, looks a little thin in the middle.

I guess you should see a elit3 up close ,it has 150 miles at that time. I drive thru gravel and sand to the basement so you can't see well but every other grove goes to center and have more depth than most.
