Long Branch or Ocean County in NJ

Hi guys,

I'm getting ready to by a HD and would like to know which of these two dealers give the best bang for the $$.

I went this past weekend to Ocean County and stayed there for about 4-5 hours, got to test ride a soft tail, but when it came time to purchase, I felt there was a lot of pressure from the assistant GM to purchase...maybe all dealers are like that.

Can you give me your opinion of these two dealerships or any other in NJ?

Thanks,

I got the high pressure treatment when I was at Long Branch, didn't like it so I left.
Bought mine (in 2005) from Dave at Edison HD, no pressure, friendly and I got a fair deal. They even reduced the final price by the amount that I had on deposit at another dealer who wouldn't return it when I cancelled my order.

If you feel you are getting pressured at any dealer and it makes you feel uncomfortable, don't by there. They need you, you don't need them.

What dealer is close to you, that would also be a consideration.

Bottom line, do not buy if you are not comfortable with that dealer.

Long Branch has been there forever. I worked on Broadway in the mid 80's and they were there long before that. They had a good rep for techs, but that was it.

Thanks for the advice. I was very dissapointed with Ocean. Their sales team...is desperate to make a sale. Won't be going there again. Long Branch was not that bad. Bought a Fat Boy at Mills HD in Burlington. A brand new 2005 with 36 miles very reasonably priced.

arealinvestor is an unknown quantity at this point
Its not really a good time to buy.I would wait until dec then you have the option of purchasing a left over 08 or a brand new 09.You will get a great deal because they are try to finalize sales before the end of the year.No hassle/ best deal.I would go to mills in burlington. They have been there since i was a kid(now 37).I have heard wonderful things about them and there prices.Try them out,but wait 09''s will be coming out and there have been rumors about 2 major changes!!!!!!!!!!!
